A Budget with vision and action, says Narendra Modi, Budget 2020

Prime Minister Narendra Modi  on Saturday said in his response to the budget, “I heartily congratulate Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamanji and his team for the first budget of this decade, which accelerate the economic growth and also has a vision and an action.”

The new reforms announced in the budget will give a boost to the economy, financially to every citizen of the country he added. Prime Minister Modi added, ‘With the efforts of doubling the income of the farmer, 16 action points have been created which will work to increase employment in rural areas.

He also said that the major sectors of employment are technology, infrastructure, and textiles. These four have been given great emphasis in this budget to increase employment generation.

Modi said that youth will also get new opportunities in the marketing and fisheries processing sector. “I believe that this budget will increase investment and income he added.  

In the budget, a coordinated initiative was adopted for the agriculture sector, which along with traditional methods will increase the value addition in animal husbandry, harticulture, fisheries and also increase employment.

There is a lot of potential in this sector for human resources, manufacturing, doctors, nurses, assistants as well as medical equipment,  he added.  

The Prime Minister said that a new mission for the textile sector has been announced. In order to produce fiber in our country, its raw material duty structure has been improved.

He said that the Ayushman Bharat Scheme also known as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), has given a new extension to the health sector of the country.

A number of policy initiatives have been taken for areas such as electronic manufacturing, new smart cities, biotechnology, data center parks, and quantum technology.

In this budget, we have made some special efforts to promote employment generation in the field of technology, he added.
