A Year of Inclusive Growth and Lasting Change

By Priyadarshini Nigam, Director and Head – CSR, Newgen Corporate Social Responsibility: As the year comes to a close, it leaves behind more than milestones. It leaves stories of effort sustained, trust earned, and progress built patiently over time.

I look back with deep gratitude at what became possible when people showed up with care, intent, and a shared belief in lasting change. At Newgen, social responsibility is not an initiative; it is a value we live by.

One rooted in inclusion, patience, and meaningful progress. Through our flagship Newgen Digital Discovery Paathshala, over 3,800 government schoolgirls engaged more confidently with digital learning this year. For more than 2,500 students, access to smart devices transformed education into something more personal, exploratory, and empowering.

Our efforts expanded not just in scale, but in relevance. In partnership with Computer Shiksha, computer literacy reached over 1,600 schools, impacting the lives of more than 2.5 lakh underserved students including specially abled children.

Learning was strengthened further through nourishment, with over 10 lakh mid-day meals served in collaboration with Akshaya Patra. Alongside this, 10,000 students received remedial education through KHUSHII, while 250 children were supported through programs focused on their holistic development through KK Academy.

This year also marked the beginning of the second batch at our Skill Development Centre, where women built sustainable livelihoods through stitching, crocheting, and embroidery, while gaining digital skills, financial awareness through our project partner EOFO and support for mental well-being was provided by IAm.

What connected each of these efforts was a shared belief in dignity, access, and opportunity. Aligned with the goals of zero hunger, quality education, and gender equality, our work remained focused on removing barriers and creating spaces where potential could unfold naturally.

As we step into the new year, we do so with humility, resolve, and hope. Together, we will continue to invest in education and skill-building, creating opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and move us collectively toward a better tomorrow.
