1. What did you want to do when you grew up

While growing up I wanted to be a person who stays happy throughout his life and does what he likes to do.

My interests included cricket, computer science, business, writing, and table tennis, so I knew I would opt for a career in any of these fields.

2. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I used to write some of the longest essays during English Language examinations in school, though I never thought then that I would be a bestselling author someday.

Over the years, I did not take writing seriously, but in 2018, I suffered a couple of personal losses.

That was the time when I realized that people, money, fame, and a good time will always come and go, but what stays forever, is a book well written.

3. When did you first consider yourself a writer?

The positive reviews from the readers of my first book The Selfish Betrayals were a green signal to my considerations of myself as a writer.

4. Where do you get ideas for your books?

My idea of fictional writing is based on my observation of people, places, and situations around me, my research, and my thoughts and imagination.

5. How many books have you written?

I have written two books. Published in May 2019, The Selfish Betrayals is a crime based fictional read that uses the magic of words for a visual representation of thrilling scenes.

Published in March 2020, The Pride of t20 cricket is a cricket-based comedy that aims to bring a smile at the reader’s face.

6. What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?

I am the kind of person who can concentrate for long hours. I usually write in the evenings after the regular work is over and write till I reach my target for that day.

I always frame the outline of my stories before starting with the book, so it helps in setting daily and weekly targets. Of course, I note down the thoughts as they come during the day and use them when I write.

7. How long does it take you to write a book?

It took me around five months to complete The Selfish Betrayals and around four months to complete The Pride of t20 cricket.

9. How do books get published?

I have observed that the general trend of reading books outside the syllabus and business world, is on a decline. The best option for young authors is to go for self-publication.

10. What is the most difficult part about writing for you?

The the most difficult part is not the writing but the marketing of the books and in the modern world, the marketing onus is also on the author.

11. What advice would you give new writers?

My advice to the young authors is that they must not be influenced by the the writing style of any other author they have read. People want to read new and original content, not something similar to what they have read before.

12. Where can readers purchase your books?

  • The Selfish Betrayals: Amazon
  • The Pride of t20 cricket: Amazon
