Updated: May 30 2022: Amul, India’s largest food brand, today announced the launch of its range of organic products. The first product to hit the shelves is the Organic Whole Wheat Atta, which is priced at Rs 60 for a KG. The organic pulses and rice will be available soon. The organic range will be available in all major cities across India from the first week of June.

On the advice of Home and Co-operation Minister Amit Shah, GCMMF launched its 1st organic product by Dairy Chairman Ramsinh Parmar and BOD, the company added that it is also setting up 5 organic testing labs. Provide affordable testing for farmers.

Anand Milk Union Limited has entered the organic food segment with the launch of Organic Whole Wheat Atta on Saturday. Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF) said that it will now move towards organic pulses and rice.

The organic range has been developed in collaboration with Navdanya, a reputed organic movement founded by Dr. Vandana Shiva. All the products are made with 100% organic ingredients, without any use of chemicals or pesticides.

Explaining its purpose behind launching Organic Atta, Mr. R.S. Sodhi, Managing Director, Anand Milk Union Limited said that their main objective is to help our customers move forward on the mission of a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle. Sodhi adds that organic products will not only reduce our chemical intake, but also lead us to a healthier tomorrow.

Our Organic Wheat Flour will be available in two pack sizes – ₹ 60 per 1 kg and Rs. 5 kg at ₹ 290, and will start from the first week of June at Amul Parlors and leading retail stores across Gujarat. Customers can also shop online from amulorganic.org for home delivery across Gujarat, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune from June. He added.

Amul’s organic flour is produced at the Tribhuvan Das Patel Mogar Food Complex. It also processes other Amul products like Amul chocolates, Amul cookies etc.

Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF) is in the process of setting up Organic Testing Laboratories at 5 locations across India, equipped with state-of-the-art technology to reduce testing costs, in addition to creating a market connection for organic farmers.

The first lab is being set up at Amul Fed Dairy in Ahmedabad and then another 5 labs will be set up at various locations across India, Sodhi said.
