In this engaging interview, we speak with Ankita Kaul, the founder of WifeyyTalks, a leading platform dedicated to women’s positivity and emotional wellness in India.
Ankita shares her inspiring journey of creating a supportive community that empowers women to embrace their emotions and foster resilience.
Her insights highlight the importance of open conversations around mental health and the transformative power of positivity.
What inspired you to start WifeyyTalks, and what was your vision when you founded the platform?
Ankita Kaul: One day i was sitting idle post my marriage feeling very low thinking i am so happily married, i am searching for a job and i have these unexplained feelings of void and i could not understand whom to share or get answers.
Realised once I joined the office so many other women even “happily” married experiencing the same issues and identity crisis. So I started the channel as a growth for women channel, channelizing their energy to build themselves and to be emotionally well and healthy.
I want every girl to be a part of Wifeyytalks community irrespective of their marriage or singlehood to understand themselves and build a better version of themself.
How do you define emotional wellness, and why is it particularly important for women today?
Ankita Kaul: Emotional wellness is understanding your emotions and channelling in the right direction. We say a person is depressed, they are crying but if you are feeling low in life and crying that is the right emotion to the right situation.
Emotionally healthy people can express all emotions in the right way and feel balanced. It may not be 100% of the time but the majority of the time they will be able to handle themselves.
Women, irrespective of their working or a homemaker, have to balance everything at home and the expectations are from Women only no matter how supportive the guy. Its very important for a woman to be emotionally well.
What challenges have you faced in your journey, both personally and professionally, while advocating for women’s issues?
Ankita Kaul: Identity crisis, lack of vision, comparisons, insecurities, baggages and too many fears surrounding failures. Knowing so many women going through so many common issues together has been a great journey of experience and learning.
What are some common themes or issues that women discuss within the WifeyyTalks community?
Ankita Kaul: The most common themes in the Wifeyytalks community are experiencing Identity crisis and lack of motivation in life and in general not wanting to grow due to emotional damage in relationships.
Are there any upcoming projects or initiatives that you’re particularly excited about?
Ankita Kaul: I am very excited about the 30 day lessons I am doing for the Wifeyytalks community. Its called “30 lessons women learn the hard way”
What advice would you give to women who are struggling with self-esteem or emotional challenges?
Ankita Kaul: Build yourself financially even small steps are big enough no matter how big your father is and how kidn your husband is in contributing to your expenses, always earn.
We have a voice on the table and respect when we earn and even if there are homemakers which is the most underrated job in the world and the most essential one then save in a way that you are financially safe always. It will give confidence and boost self-esteem.
Is there anything else you would like to share about your journey or the mission of WifeyyTalks?
Ankita Kaul: Wifeyytalks is the way I let my creativity out. I experiment, learn and it helps me stay motivated and driven.
Its an emotion for me and when women message me that your content is amazing or this helped me grow in my life or change a particular mental habit of mine it feels more than the salary given to me at my job. I want to become better in my personal life and with regards to creativity in order to help every woman around.
As we wrap up our discussion, Ankita Kaul’s passion for uplifting women shines through. WifeyyTalks continues to be a beacon of hope, encouraging women to prioritize their emotional well-being and connect with one another.
With her vision and dedication, Ankita is making a lasting impact on the landscape of women’s wellness in India.
