An Exclusive Interview with Anushi Jain, Nutritionist & Founder of Nutri Maven
In this exclusive interview, we speak with Anushi Jain, renowned nutritionist and visionary founder of Nutri Maven, as she shares insights into her journey, the philosophy behind her brand, and the evolving landscape of nutrition.
Discover her expert tips, success stories, and candid thoughts on fostering holistic wellness through personalized dietary solutions.
What inspired you to start Nutri Maven, and how did your journey in the health and wellness market begin?
Anushi Jain: My journey began in 2005, when my father was battling cancer. Amidst the medical chaos, I saw how simple, home-cooked meals gave him strength and peace.
A few years later, my younger brother – just 18 then – lost 45 kilos, reversed his health markers, and rebuilt his confidence through consistent, real food changes.
Around the same time, my mother, with blood sugar levels touching 600, brought her diabetes under control through natural, mindful eating.
But what made this even more personal was my husband’s journey. He battled teenage eating habits and gut issues for years.
With deep intention, he lost over 20 kg and successfully managed his IBS through food discipline, meal timing, and lifestyle restructuring – without depending on medication.
Watching him consciously reverse his symptoms made me believe that food can truly be medicine. That’s when it hit me: our homes are our first clinics, and our kitchens are our most powerful pharmacies.
While medication has its place, the dependency on it can be reduced when we give the body what it actually needs.
Later, I married into a fitness-focused family, and that further cemented my path nutrition wasn’t just a profession for me. It became my purpose. And Nutri Maven was born from that belief.
How do you ensure that the nutrition guidance you provide is personalized and tailored to the unique needs of each client?
Anushi Jain: At Nutri Maven, personalization isn’t a buzzword – it’s the core of everything we do. Every client’s body, history, lifestyle, and even emotional relationship with food are different.
Before I design a plan, I spend time deeply understanding their goals, triggers, sleep patterns, stress levels, medical history, and even their cooking habits.
We don’t just focus on calories or macros. A 40-year-old woman with PCOS, gut issues, and fatigue will need a completely different approach than a 22-year-old with acne and anxiety.
I consider bio-individuality, cultural food preferences, local seasonal produce, and emotional eating tendencies. That’s what makes it sustainable.
I also work closely with their existing medical diagnoses – whether it’s hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, or post-surgery recovery – and create foodbased strategies that complement their treatment without conflict.
No generic PDFs, no rigid meal grids. Every client gets a plan that walks with them, adapts with them, and reflects their real life. That’s what makes the transformation long-lasting.
What are some of the most common challenges your clients face when it comes to nutrition, and how do you help them overcome these obstacles?
Anushi Jain: Most people don’t struggle with what to eat – they struggle with why they can’t stick to it. I’ve seen it time and again: emotional eating, social guilt, sugar cravings, hormonal fatigue, late-night binges, all stemming from stress, misinformation, or decades of diet trauma.
Another common challenge is extreme food fear. Clients come to me after cutting out carbs, fruit, gluten, or dairy because they were told that’s the only way to lose weight. They’re confused, tired, and undernourished.
I work on deconstructing that fear. We don’t demonize food. We bring structure without rigidity. I teach them how to eat according to their body type, lifestyle, and life stage – without guilt or overwhelm.
I also support them through their ups and downs. I’m not just a nutritionist behind a screen – I’m their Nutri buddy their wellness partner.
When they begin to feel better – gut improving, energy lifting, mood stabilizing- they naturally stick to the plan. The key is to make food healing, enjoyable, and rooted in their real world.
How do you stay updated with the latest research and trends in nutrition and wellness to provide the best guidance to your clients?
Anushi Jain: Nutrition is an ever-evolving field, and staying updated is a non-negotiable. I regularly invest time in continued education – whether it’s certifications, research journals, or clinical case studies. But I balance science with sensibility.
I stay connected with global experts and functional medicine networks that focus on gut health, hormonal healing, and metabolic nutrition. I also review client trends across age groups and geographies; this real-world data teaches me more than textbooks ever could.
However, I’m mindful not to get carried away by every new fad. At Nutri Maven, we don’t jump onto trends – we investigate them. I filter what’s relevant and practical for my clients’ lifestyles.
For instance, I won’t recommend fancy adaptogens if a simple tulsi infusion at home does the job. Our philosophy remains grounded: we combine modern science with ancestral wisdom.
If something new aligns with that value system, we integrate it. Otherwise, we go back to what works – real food, real consistency, and deep personalization.
Congratulations on receiving the Excellence in Innovation Leadership – Healthcare Award! How has this recognition impacted your work and the growth of Nutri Maven?
Anushi Jain: Thank you! Receiving the Excellence in Innovation Leadership Award by The Times of India x Economic Times was an incredibly humbling moment for me and the entire Nutri Maven community.
It validated what I’ve always believed: that wellness isn’t about extremes – it’s about balance, clarity, and consistency. The award amplified our visibility and gave us the confidence to scale our programs without compromising on depth or personalization.
Since then, I’ve been invited to speak on women’s health platforms, collaborate with healthcare practitioners, and design long-term healing protocols that go beyond just weight loss.
It also encouraged many people to take food-first healing seriously – not just as a trend, but as a sustainable way of living.
What mattered most was that the recognition wasn’t just for me – it was for every client who trusted us, every mother who cooked that extra roti mindfully, every woman who paused to put herself first. That’s who Nutri Maven exists for.
What advice would you give to individuals looking to embark on their own health and wellness journey, especially in terms of making informed dietary decisions?
Start with listening to your body, not the internet. You don’t need to starve, skip meals, or eat fancy superfoods to get healthy. Begin by understanding your routine, your relationship with food, and what’s not working for you -emotionally and physically.
Don’t fall for trends that make you fear food. Carbs aren’t evil. Eating after 7 PM won’t make you gain weight. What matters is consistency, not rigidity.
Build one habit at a time: start your day with soaked nuts, eat your fruits before 4 PM, or swap your processed snacks with something homemade.
Small shifts lead to big changes. Also, health is not just about looking a certain way. It’s about how you feel when you wake up, how clear your skin is, how calm your gut is, and how steady your energy stays.
And most importantly: ask for help. Work with a practitioner who listens to you and respects your bio-individuality. You deserve a plan that understands your lifestyle, not one that disrupts it.
Anushi Jain’s passion for nutrition and dedication to Nutri Maven shines through as she emphasizes the importance of mindful eating and sustainable habits.
Her innovative approach inspires healthier lifestyles, proving that nourishment goes beyond food—it’s a foundation for well-being. Stay tuned for more wisdom from this trailblazing expert!
