Archna Puran Singh is an Indian actress & television personality. She is known for comedy roles in Bollywood films.
She is also famous as a judge in comedy shows. Sony TV India’s The Kapil Sharma Show is her latest show.
Her role of Miss Braganza in a very popular film Kuch Luch Hota Hai is mostly regarded. She judged the television comedy show named Comedy Circus from 2006 to 2018. She has been acted in more than 100 films & television shows.
Early Life of Archana Puran Singh:
Archana was born on 26th September 1962 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. She belongs to a Hindu family. Her father was a lawyer. She has one sister & two brother. She competed her school from Convent School, Dehradun. Archana completed her Graduation in English from Delhi University, New Delhi.

Archana’s first marriage did not work. It ended in a divorce. After that she met actor director Parmeet Shethi at a party. Later they married on 30th June 1992. The couple have two sons Aryamann & Ayushmaan.
Career of Archana Puran Singh:
Films:
In 1987, she made her film debut from Nari Hira’s TV movie Abhishek with Aditya Pancholi. Later, she acted in Jalwa opposie Naseeruddin Shah.
After that, Archana did small roles in big banner films. She acted in Agneepath in 1990, Saudagar in 1991, Shola aur Shabnam in 1992.
Aashiq Awara in 1993 & Raja Hindustani in 1996. She also did some item songs. She did it in Govinda-starrer Baaz & Suniel Shetty-starrer Judge Mujrim.
After that she acted supporting roles more. Mainly they were Love Story, Krrish, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Masti Bol Bachchan, De Dana Dan etc.
In television:
In 1993, she became a television anchor in Wah Kya Scene Hai on Zee TV. It was followed by Uncensored. Later she acted in Shrimaan Shrimati & Junoon.
On Zee TV She also hosted Archna Talkis on Sony Entertainment Television. On Zee TV, she acted in Zee Horror Show.
She directed sitcoms like Nehle Pe Dehla & Jaane Bhi Do Paaro. She also produced Samne Wali Khiladi.
She was one of the contestant in the reality TV show Nach Baliye 1. In that show she participated with her husband Parmeet Sethi.
Unfortunately, they eliminated in 6th episode. Archana & Parmmet hosted a reality dance show named Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 1.
After that, she appeared as a judge in comedy shows. As a judge, she appeared in Sony TV’s Comedy Show season 1 in 2006 & Comedy Circus season 2 in 2008.
She along with Parmeet Sethi hosted Kaho Na Yaar Hai on Star Plus in January 2008. In September after the end of Comedy Circus season 2 they started Comedy Circus-Kaante Ki Takkar.
After Comedy Circus Kante Ki Takkar she became the judge of Comedy Circus-Teen Ka Tadka, Comedy Circus Ke Superstar, Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo, Jubilee Comedy Circus, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen, Comedy Ka Naya Daur, Kahaani Comedy Circus Ki, Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe, and Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali.
In SAB TV’s The Great Indian Family Drama she acted as Begum Paro.
She acted as Lakjan’s mother Paramjeet in TV serial My Name Ijj Lakhan in 2019. She entered as a judge in The Kapil Sharma Show in 2019.
