Mr. Dharam Tomar is a Founder and Managing Director of Mr & Miss City Fashion League Pvt. Ltd. He is an enterprising personality, businessman and a go-getter.

Ex model with expertise in fashion events, talent grooming and advertising. He has started his career as a model with agencies like Glitz, Glaze and more as a published model in many advertising campaigns and magazines.

Currently he is giving platforms to the talented girls and boys of Tier 2 cities through his fashion show Mr. and Ms. City Event. It’s free of cost for all and in March 2023 he is going to organize its fifth season.

Mr & Miss City Fashion League Pvt. Ltd. is a multi-oriented event company which caters to the Beauty Pageants, Fashion events, Corporate events, Social events and Commercial events such as Product launches, Business meets, Conferences, Celebrity Management, Reality shows and much more.

The idea is to provide talented youth with various good professional platforms. The company is formed with two strong pillars of professional task masters in their own fields and a very competent team of professional and technical crew working under them.

Tell us a little about yourself

I belong to a simple, middle class and religious family. After my education, I have started my career as a model with agencies like Glitz, Glaze and many more.

I was a  published model in many advertising campaigns and magazines like Swagat, Brunch HT and many more.

Please tell us a little about your entrepreneurial journey

Dharam Tomar: I have started my own event management company Mr & Miss City Fashion League Pvt. Ltd, a multi-oriented event company which caters to the Beauty Pageants, Fashion events, Corporate events, Social events and Commercial events such as Product launches, Business meets, Conferences, Celebrity Management, Reality shows and much more.

The idea is to provide talented youth with various good professional platforms. The company is formed with two strong pillars of professional task masters in their own fields and a very competent team of professional and technical crew working under them.

Kindly brief us about Mr & Miss City Fashion League, its specialization, and the services that it offers

Dharam Tomar: Mr & Miss City is a platform that aims to provide a platform to the talented youth of Tier 2 and 3 cities of our country so that they can showcase their talent in front of the renowned faces of Bollywood and many more faces of fashion, corporate & lifestyle industry.

We charge only Rs. 500 for registration to ensure that the participant will come for audition. Apart from that, we provide free accommodation, food and drink, 4-5 days grooming, training etc.

I am happy to say that youths from every state of the country come to participate in our events

I had started this thing without any financial help from anyone and now due to the support and motivation of the people, today we are coming up with fifth seasons, which will happen in March 2023 at Welcome Hotel Dwarka, Delhi.

What inspired you to start a fashion event company?

Dharam Tomar: During my modelling days, I had seen talented boys and girls who could not move forward due to financial crisis.

Thinking this, I started this event so that everyone can get a chance to come forward. This year we have included married women and kids and I am much excited to see the result.

What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in running a fashion event company?

Dharam Tomar: At the start budgeting and marketing was a little challenge but we have managed it and now there is no such challenge that we are facing.

What are some of the biggest trends in fashion events?

Dharam Tomar: Fashion designers, brands, or stylists are trends as they showcase their upcoming collection of clothing and/or accessories

What are your plans for the future of the company?

Dharam Tomar: We are planning to organize this event in many more cities other than Delhi NCR. We are planning to organize this in Mumbai, Goa, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Dehradun and Hyderabad.

What was the inspiration behind turning an entrepreneur

Dharam Tomar: Desire to do something for the youth of the nation is the biggest inspiration. Besides, John Abraham and Rahul Dev inspires me a lot

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Dharam Tomar: Learning to take risks and mentally prepare to face failure is my advice.
