Tell us a little about yourself

Diksha Katyal: I hail from the culturally rich city of Kolkata, India. My academic journey led me to acquire a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from J.D. Birla University, followed by a Master’s degree in Brand Management from the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in London.

Post-academic life brought me into the corporate world where I accumulated four enriching years of experience.

However, my true calling lay elsewhere. I’ve always felt a deep connection to the intricate world of Vedic science and the enigma of occult knowledge.

My fascination for these subjects eventually coalesced into the co-founding of the Academy of Vedic Vidya, an institution driven by my belief in the transformative power of ancient wisdom.

Can you share with us the inspiration behind the establishment of the Academy of Vedic Vidya? What led you to co-found an institution focused on Vedic science and occult knowledge?

Diksha Katyal: My inspiration behind the Academy of Vedic Vidya was borne out of a strong interest in Vedic science and occult knowledge.

These ancient wisdom traditions, I believe, have a multifaceted potential to influence lives, ranging from personal development to professional success.

The inception of the idea occurred during the COVID-19 lockdown, a time that underscored the pervasive struggles with stress, anxiety, and mental health issues on a global scale.

In that challenging period, I too felt drawn towards the soothing embrace of spirituality and the timeless wisdom that Vedic science offers.

To my surprise, I discovered a widespread interest in Vedic science but a noticeable dearth of credible institutions offering courses in this field.

This observation sparked the initiative to establish the Academy of Vedic Vidya, an institution conceived to disseminate the understanding of these ancient wisdom traditions in an accessible and applicable manner.

The aim was, and still remains, to enable individuals to incorporate this knowledge into their daily lives for an enriched and balanced existence.

Diksha Katyal: My journey into the realms of Vedic science and occult knowledge was inspired by the belief in their transformative potential.

While my personal inclination toward these fields was a driving force, the market data further cemented my decision.

A study from October 2022 revealed a thriving market for Astrology, Numerology, and related fields, estimated at approximately 20 billion USD in India alone, and growing at a CAGR of 32%. On a global scale, the market has reached an impressive 1 trillion USD.
