As part of this endeavour, we invited yet another entrepreneur Interview with Dr. Abhishek Pilani, MD Dermatologist, Founder – Assure Clinic for an exclusive interview with us.

Please tell us a little about your entrepreneurial journey

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: From having one clinic in Mumbai to operating 13 outlets in different parts of the country, from the launch of our first international centre, Assure Venture, in Dubai this year to raising USD 6 million to spread Assure clinic’s footprint through a network of centres in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, my entrepreneurial journey, so far, has been adventurous and full of learning from some of the brilliant minds in the business.

I believe I have been able to come this far only with perseverance, honesty, and hard work. Having these essential elements, inside me, over the years I have learned effective management and business skills along with innovative aesthetic treatments for hair and skin rejuvenation offering impeccable results.  

What treatments do you offer at Assure Clinic?

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: Assure Clinic, under Dr. Abhishek Pilani’s leadership offers a wide range of aesthetic treatments related to hair loss and skin care.

From Ultra High-Density Hair Transplant (UHDHT) technique to the advanced FUE method, Direct Simultaneous Hair Implantation (DSHI) technique to PRP and Scalp Micro Pigmentation treatment, our dermatologists offer world-class hair treatments that have changed lives.

At Assure Clinic, we also provide a comprehensive range of skin treatments that nourish and beautify the skin.

Be it acne, pigmentation problems, or ageing skin, our scientifically-developed skincare regime is a one-stop solution for all your skin-related issues.

Taking a step further, Assure Clinic also educates our clients on over-the-counter available skin products and how to use them for the best results. Some of our cosmetic treatments include Ultherapy or HIFU, chemical peel, hydrafacial, etc.

What made you choose the type of business?

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: My passion for dermatology and urge to offer world-class treatment in an organized and safe environment were my inner push to create a brand like Assure Clinic.

In addition to this, the need to uplift India’s capabilities in the field of hair and skin care treatment has always been my single focus.

As more males and females are coming forward to restore their looks and feel the same level of confidence as earlier, I want our clinics to reach every part of the country and provide the best possible treatments for them. 

What was your mission at the outset?

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: Assure Clinic’s mission is to achieve natural and beautiful results from its aesthetic treatments which help people make the most of their lives.

It strives to change people’s perspectives about medical aesthetic procedures and help build a world with technologically-advanced aesthetic treatments.

What’s your company’s goals?

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: Assure Clinic’s goal is to become one of the most significant and notable medical aesthetics companies in the world.

We strive to achieve this vision by providing the best patient experience, one-of-a-kind aesthetic and health services and indulging in honest and straightforward medical practice. 

What have been some of your failures and what have you learned from them?

Dr. Abhishek Pilani:Providing impeccable service with integrity is one of the major challenges of the medical aesthetic industry.

One mistake and you are back to square one. In my practice of medical science, over the years I have learned to be cautious every moment. It is one of the learnings that has been instrumental in delivering unmatched results.

What was the inspiration behind turning an entrepreneur key thing to consider before starting a startup? 

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: Don’t just start a startup with a desire to be on the top of the game. You will likely fall on your face.

Most people before making up their minds to run a business have no idea about the money that will be required, the hard work that they have to put in, the knowledge, the experience that they have to gain, the kind of team that will be required and the patience they need to have until their businesses reach up to a level where it can be tagged as successful or break even. Therefore, assess your situation on these parameters and then go about it. 

What are some of the biggest mistakes you have made?

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: Service integrity is one of the major challenges to keep up the standards of highest nature of Aesthetic deliveries and 1 mistake can bring the outcome to square 1 as being humans we all commit errors, hence being cautious every moment is what we learned and realized to strive forward and deliver unmatched results.

Your success tips for young and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Dr. Abhishek Pilani: Find your passion. It is the most important thing. You must realize that the most successful start-ups are founded by people who are passionate about what they do.

Know your market, find the gap, grab the opportunity and deliver. Remember nothing will come to you without hard work.
