An interview with Dr Ashvini Jakhar, Founder and CEO of Prozo, India’s Fastest Growing Full-Stake Supplychain, Warehousing and Freight Networking Company

In the fast-evolving world of logistics and supply chain management, Dr. Ashvini Jakhar stands out as a trailblazer.

As the Founder and CEO of Prozo, he has revolutionized the way businesses approach e-commerce logistics.

In this interview, we explore Dr. Jakhar’s journey, his innovative vision for Prozo, and the challenges he has overcome to establish a leading player in the industry.

What motivated you to establish Prozo, and what was your vision at the outset?

Dr Ashvini Jakhar: My journey began in the Indian Navy, where I served as a doctor. That chapter of my life instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and a commitment to service.

I had the privilege of contributing to critical missions like setting up a 20-bed hospital in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands post the 2004 tsunami, and being part of the emergency medical response team during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Following my transition into civilian life, I pursued an MBA at the Indian School of Business (ISB), which opened the doors to McKinsey & Company.

My time at McKinsey gave me deep insights into the challenges and ambitions of leading Indian businesses and planted the seed of entrepreneurship.

Prozo started as a vertical e-commerce platform initially focused on one category. As we integrated backwards into warehousing and freight, we pivoted and later entered into warehousing and freight as a standalone vertical.

A key reason for this pivot was the gap identified in the logistics industry: the lack of a seamless integration of technology and service excellence.

This insight led us to identify the right product-market fit, and we made a strategic pivot to build a fully tech-enabled, end-to-end integrated supply chain enterprise.

Prozo aims to provide businesses with agile, scalable, and SLA-driven supply chain solutions. Our vision from the outset has been clear: to democratize access to enterprise-grade, future-ready supply chains to businesses of all sizes.

How does Prozo differentiate itself from other logistics and supply chain companies?

Dr Ashvini Jakhar: Prozo’s core differentiation lies in its vision to democratize access to enterprise-grade, integrated, and SLA-driven supply chains on a flexible basis or as per requirements by our clients.

This vision has guided us to build one of India’s most agile and technologically advanced supply chain platforms, serving both B2B and B2C requirements across startups and large enterprises alike.

From a numbers standpoint, we currently have 42 multi-client, dedicated and managed fulfillment centers pan India, spanning approximately 2.2 million square feet. Our logistics aggregator network can service all freight legs and covers 24000+ pincodes.

We offer full-stack solutions across warehousing (fulfillment), freight, and technology—ensuring 100% real-time visibility and operational control through a single integrated platform.

Unlike traditional players, Prozo’s model allows businesses to scale without heavy upfront investment, much like how AWS transformed IT infrastructure for enterprises.

Our unified approach stands out in an industry where brands typically juggle 15–20 different warehousing and freight partners, often without performance visibility.

Through our tech-enabled Command Centre and predictive analytics tools, brands can monitor SLAs, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues proactively—something that’s increasingly critical in today’s multi-channel supply chain environment.

Prozo has emerged as a market leader in categories like beauty and personal care, fashion and accessories, and footwear, while actively solving supply chain challenges in 10+ other verticals including electronics, FMCG, healthcare, and industrials. This sector-agnostic, SLA-first, and tech-driven approach is what truly sets us apart.

How does Prozo leverage technology to enhance its logistics and supply chain solutions?

Dr Ashvini Jakhar: Technology is at the heart of everything we do at Prozo. We are actively building predictive analytics capabilities and embedding AI across our tech stack to enhance decision-making, improve SLA adherence, and drive operational agility.

Our proprietary systems—including ProWMS (our warehouse management system), ProShip (our freight management platform), and a centralized Control Tower and Command Centre—are designed to deliver precision, speed, and full-stack visibility.

ProWMS supports wireless, scan-based operations, real-time inventory tracking, shelf-life management, role-based access, and integrations with CCTV systems.

It also works seamlessly with third-party platforms like Unicommerce. ProShip streamlines freight execution with instant shipping label generation, live tracking, WhatsApp-based bookings, and automated invoicing—backed by control tower alerts for exceptions like delivery delays or routing issues.

Our Control Tower and Command Centre act as the operational brain, providing real-time visibility and proactive alerts across the warehousing and logistics network.

A standout feature is our One-Click CCTV Feed Slicing tool, which enables rapid access to packaging and return footage—helping teams respond quickly and accurately to escalations.

We’re also building the future of decision support with ProPilot, our in-house AI assistant. ProPilot helps internal teams and clients with a wide range of day-to-day queries—from checking brand performance by warehouse or geography, to reviewing SLA breach trends, SOPs, cycle count processes, shipping performance, NDR call logs, and even AWB-level forensics.

It brings instant, data-backed insights into everyone’s hands—without waiting for reports or chasing down dashboards.

And beyond just our platforms, we’re fostering an AI-first culture within the organization. Our teams are empowered to use tools like ChatGPT for productivity, and we’re actively building custom GPTs tailored to Prozo’s internal workflows—from operations to customer success.

At Prozo, tech is not just an enabler—it’s a strategic differentiator. We solve for scale, precision, and speed by putting AI and automation at the core of our ecosystem.

What trends do you see shaping the future of logistics and supply chain management?

Dr Ashvini Jakhar: The future of supply chain management is being shaped by three powerful forces: digital transformation, sustainability, and geopolitical shifts—each reinforcing the need for more agile, resilient, and intelligent supply chains.

On the technology front, warehouses are evolving into intelligent, real-time fulfillment centers.

Cloud-based WMS platforms, AI-driven forecasting, robotics, and predictive analytics are enabling businesses to improve SLA adherence, reduce turnaround times, and dynamically respond to demand fluctuations.

At Prozo, our tech-first infrastructure allows brands to manage inventory across B2B, D2C, and omnichannel channels seamlessly, with high fulfillment accuracy and end-to-end visibility.

Equally important is the shift toward sustainable supply chains. With the logistics sector contributing nearly 8% of global CO₂ emissions, there’s increasing pressure on the industry to reduce environmental impact without compromising service speed or cost.

At Prozo, we’re addressing this through initiatives like paperless warehousing, route optimization, shared infrastructure, and adoption of green mobility solutions—while also encouraging collaboration across stakeholders to drive systemic change.

Another key trend we’re closely watching is the geopolitical realignment of global trade routes.

With increasing uncertainty due to trade wars, disruptions in key maritime corridors, and the push toward de-risking supply chains, businesses are now prioritizing regional fulfillment hubs, nearshoring, and supply diversification.

India is emerging as a major strategic hub in this new landscape. At Prozo, we see this as an opportunity to help brands build resilient, distributed, and tech-enabled supply chain networks that are ready for whatever the future holds.

Ultimately, the logistics of tomorrow will be data-rich, environmentally conscious, and geopolitically aware—and players who embrace this shift early will lead the way.

Are there any upcoming projects or initiatives that you are particularly excited about?

Dr Ashvini Jakhar: Prozo is all set for its next stage of growth—and our expanding footprint, service diversification, and ongoing tech investments are proof of that momentum.

We’ve been opening new fulfillment centers almost every month to support growing demand across categories and regions.

In the Hyderabad region alone, we’ve entered into three new projects: a 17,000 sq. ft. multi-client warehouse and a 65,000 sq. ft. client-dedicated facility.

Additionally, we’ve marked a major milestone by entering the grocery fulfillment space, managing a 2,00,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Shamshabad for a leading Indian enterprise—demonstrating our capability to handle high-throughput, time-sensitive supply chains.

In North India, we’ve recently operationalized a 45,000 sq. ft. multi-client fulfillment center in Gurgaon, and we’ve finalized an additional 50,000 sq. ft. of space in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra.

These strategic expansions are part of our commitment to strengthening our clients’ supply chain networks, ensuring agility, and maintaining operational excellence at scale.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs in the logistics and supply chain sector?

Dr Ashvini Jakhar: The Indian supply chain and logistics sector presents vast opportunities for growth and disruption, but success here isn’t accidental—it requires the interplay of resilience, agile decision-making, adaptability, and, of course, technology-first thinking.

My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs would be to start by deeply understanding the pain points in the ecosystem and focus on solving them with scalable, tech-enabled solutions. Don’t try to boil the ocean—build for real-world use cases, but build with the future in mind.

It’s also important to design supply chain offerings that are flexible and client-centric, capable of serving businesses of all sizes—from high-growth D2C brands to large enterprises.

And never lose sight of the end-customer experience; in logistics, your client’s reputation often rests on your ability to deliver flawlessly.

Lastly, invest in building or partnering for a strategically distributed fulfillment network that minimizes risk and supports scale.

The sector is fast-evolving, and those who stay curious, adaptive, and operationally excellent will have a clear edge.

Dr. Ashvini Jakhar’s insights reveal a commitment to innovation and excellence at Prozo. His journey underscores the importance of adaptability in the logistics sector, inspiring future entrepreneurs to embrace challenges as opportunities.

As Prozo continues to grow, Dr. Jakhar’s leadership will undoubtedly shape the future of supply chain solutions, making a lasting impact on the industry.
