Beyond IVF: Ova Fertility’s Dr. Snehal Kohale’s Holistic Approach to Women’s Wellness

Dr Snehal Kohale

An Exclusive Interview with Dr. Snehal Kohale — a fertility specialist, women’s health expert, and the founder of Ova Fertility & Women Care

Dr. Snehal Kohale, renowned fertility specialist and founder of Ova Fertility & Women Care, pioneers women’s health solutions amid rising infertility challenges. In this interview, she demystifies advanced treatments, holistic care, and hope for aspiring mothers everywhere.

With over 16 years in women’s fertility, what inspired you to blend medical science with NLP and emotional healing as founder of Good Vibes Within and Ova Care?

Dr. Snehal Kohale: For the first few years of my practice, I was doing everything “right” medically accurate diagnoses, evidence-based treatments, the best protocols.

Yet I kept noticing something important: two women with the same medical condition could have very different outcomes. One would respond beautifully, and the other would struggle despite perfect treatment.

What stood out was not their reports, but their emotional state: fear, guilt, constant stress, self-blame. Fertility is deeply personal, and over time I realised that the uterus doesn’t function in isolation from the mind.

That curiosity led me to explore NLP, life coaching, and emotional healing. Once I integrated these with medical science, the shift was remarkable not just in success rates, but in how women experienced their journey.

Good Vibes Within was born from this insight: healing must happen at the level of body, mind, and soul, not just hormones and scans.

Walk us through the comprehensive services at your clinic, from preconception counseling to advanced fertility treatments, how do the latest medical advancements fit in?

Dr. Snehal Kohale: At Ova Fertility and Women Care, we truly walk with a woman through every phase.

We begin with preconception counseling, which includes medical optimisation, lifestyle correction, nutrition, and emotional readiness something that’s often overlooked.

From there, we offer fertility evaluations, ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, ICSI, fertility preservation, and care for complex cases like PCOS, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, and poor ovarian reserve.

We use the latest evidence-based protocols, advanced stimulation regimens, personalised embryo transfer planning, and adjunct therapies where indicated.

But what makes our approach different is that every medical plan is supported by emotional counseling, mindset work, and stress regulation tools.

Technology gives us precision but compassion gives us direction. We consciously balance both.

Your book When Hope Meets Science and Soul Conceives! explores the link between mental well-being and reproductive health. What key insights do you share for a humane approach to fertility?

Dr. Snehal Kohale: The core message of the book is simple yet powerful: a woman is not a diagnosis. Fertility treatment can unintentionally become mechanical numbers, follicles, embryos, reports. In the book, I emphasise that emotional safety, belief systems, and unresolved stress directly influence hormonal balance and reproductive health.

I also talk about reframing failure not as a woman’s inadequacy, but as feedback from the body. The humane approach is about restoring dignity, hope, and self-trust during the fertility journey.

When science is guided by empathy, healing becomes deeper and outcomes naturally improve.

What common misconceptions about fertility do you encounter, and how does your holistic model address them?

Dr. Snehal Kohale: One of the biggest misconceptions is that fertility problems are only a woman’s responsibility. Another is that IVF is the “last and scary option,” or that stress has no real impact on conception.

Our holistic model corrects these beliefs through education and experience. We involve partners, normalise emotional ups and downs, and explain fertility in a way that removes fear and shame.

We help couples understand that fertility is a shared, dynamic process, and that emotional health is not “optional” it’s foundational.

Looking ahead, how do you envision evolving holistic fertility care in India and beyond?

Dr. Snehal Kohale: I see fertility care moving towards integration rather than extremes where advanced medical science and emotional healing coexist respectfully.

In India especially, there is a growing awareness that mental well-being matters. My vision is to create scalable models through clinics, digital platforms, workshops, and education where women feel supported even outside hospital walls.

Holistic fertility care should be accessible, ethical, evidence-based, and deeply humane not a luxury, but a standard.

What advice would you give women seeking reproductive wellness today?

Dr. Snehal Kohale: Please remember you are not broken. Listen to your body, seek timely medical guidance, but also honour your emotions. Ask questions, choose doctors who see you, not just your reports. Reduce stress where you can, nourish yourself physically and emotionally, and don’t carry this journey alone.

Fertility is not just about conceiving a child, it’s also about reconnecting with yourself.

It’s about becoming your better version every day to nurture a balanced future generation.

And this is the theme of our “Conscious Conception Movement “

Dr. Snehal Kohale’s work at Ova Fertility inspires empowerment through science and compassion. As fertility evolves, her vision urges proactive women’s health steps. Ova Fertility isn’t just treating infertility—it’s nurturing dreams of family and brighter futures for all.
