Dr. Vivek Srivastav is a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Vice President at Zeon Lifesciences, a leading pharmaceutical company based in India.
With more than 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Srivastav has made significant contributions to the growth and success of Zeon Lifesciences.
Dr. Srivastav’s expertise lies in the areas of research and development, regulatory affairs, quality control, and project management.
He has been instrumental in the development of several key products at Zeon Lifesciences, and his work has led to the successful commercialization of these products.
Tell us a little about yourself
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: With more than 16 years’ experience, Dr. Vivek Srivastav has harboured a deep-rooted passion for Innovative research, Product development and curating pragmatic products based on scientifically backed claims in the niche of health and wellness with the successful commercialization of more than 85 formulations
He has had the prior experience of working at various CXO level positions with different ventures in the domain of Ayurveda and Nutrition.
His expertise lies in the R&D branch in Nutrition & Ayurveda. However, with the rise of the Conscious consumer, a paradigmatic shift has been observed in the last decade or so.
The scientific research changed gears to holistic nutrition and Dr. Vivek joined the discourse since its advent.
With more than 40 articles published, Dr. Vivek has garnered strong assets in terms of networks, talent pool and resources in the domain of Herbal therapy and Nutrition with his commendable contribution in Techno- commercial sphere.
He has also authored chapter in Clinical Nutrition guideline book. He has held high-level positions in different companies, such as Vice President of R&D and Operations at Esperer Nutrition, and Director of Enteral Nutrition Development Center (North East South East Asia) at Fresenius Kabi.
At the start of his industry career, he worked with companies like Maharishi Ayurveda & Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Vivek has got the varied exposure of both B2B and B2C model
Dr. Vivek is an IIM Alumni and having academic background in Ayurveda & Alternative medicine. He earned a Master’s degree with a specialization in herbals and phytonutrients, as well as a Doctorate in phytonutrients from CSIR.
He has received several awards in his career including categorical award in New Product Design & Innovation, Business recognition, Indian Health Achievers. His citations got featured in newspaper like
The Herald, Indian Express, Dainik Jagran and other regional newspapers. He has written several articles on various topics in Ingredients South Asia, Food Spectrum, Nutra Ingredients, Chronicle Pharmabiz
What inspired you to pursue a career in the manufacturing of Nutraceutical and Herbal products?
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: I have always been interested in healthcare. Recognizing this interest during early days I was determined to make my career in the field of Phytoceuticals.
How do you ensure the quality of the products you manufacture?
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: When it comes to quality we support zero tolerance to quality related issue, every client is prime client for us in past & recent years we have received many awards for Quality, the most recent one being CII award.
Can you walk us through your manufacturing process from start to finish?
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: We follow all the necessary steps that are required in manufacturing of a product product proposal

What steps do you take to ensure that your products are environmentally sustainable? The term nutraceutical describes products made from natural sources.
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: Our products are environment friendly as they do not contain any harmful chemicals & by products released after whole process does not put much load to the environment
How do you stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry?
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: Ongoing education is career long. The moment you think you know it all, that should be your signal that it’s time to learn something new.

What are your plans for expanding your product categories and reaching new markets in the future
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: The supplement market is progressing and implementing innovations every year. We believe that consumers should enjoy the maximum potential of vitamins and other supplements available & for the same reason we try to match the latest trends in market in terms of therapy & dosage delivery methods.
We are almost there in every segment therapy and focus on adding the best product to the line. We are definitely expanding ourselves not only in domestic but international as well
What was the inspiration behind turning an entrepreneur/industry expert
Dr. Vivek Srivastav: It is important to capture the pulse of the market when entering into the business and keep looking for the next big thing.
My ambition, passion & quest to satisfy the evolving needs of the customer in terms of nutrition has keep me up in the industry
