Shaping Beauty: An Interview with Dr. Yash Mehta of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery

Dr Yash Mehta, ACSC

An Exclusive Interview with Dr Yash Mehta, Principal Surgeon & Founder of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery (ACSC)

Join us for an exclusive interview with Dr. Yash Mehta, founder of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery (ACSC). We explore his vision for shaping beauty, the latest advancements, and the profound impact of his work on patient confidence and well-being.

Can you share with us your journey and how you decided to start ACSC?

Dr Yash Mehta: Medicine has always been in my blood—I come from a family of doctors, so the path felt almost instinctive. During my MBBS years, I found myself increasingly drawn to surgery; I loved the precision, problem-solving, and artistry.

A turning point came when I met a French plastic surgeon during my MBBS in Mauritius. When I asked him why he chose plastic surgery, he said, “It’s one of the few specialties where patients come in happy and leave even happier.” That stayed with me.

I went on to complete my Master’s in ENT Surgery and pursued a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery under the Spanish Society of Facial Plastic Surgeons.

When I returned to India, I was clear—I wanted to create a centre that combined medical precision with aesthetic sensibility. That’s how the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic( ACSC )was born.

What inspired you to launch the brand, especially with a focus on your specific industry?

Dr Yash Mehta: My vision for ACSC was to create a safe, science-backed space where patients could openly discuss their concerns without pressure or judgment. I wanted to offer clarity, honesty, and natural results.

Most importantly, I wanted to celebrate the diversity of human faces—across ethnicities and anthropological features—and enhance what makes each person uniquely beautiful.

Could you describe ACSC’s unique value proposition within your industry?

Dr Yash Mehta: At ACSC, our USP is hyper-personalised care. I personally consult every single patient, ensuring their concerns are understood in depth before we co-create a treatment plan.

Our goal is never transformation for the sake of it—it’s enhancement that feels true to the person, subtle, and naturally beautiful.

In what ways do you stay updated with the latest trends and developments in your industry to ensure the brand remains competitive?

Dr Yash Mehta: Medicine is an ever-evolving field, and staying current is not optional—it’s essential. I dedicate time daily to reading medical journals and staying informed on the latest techniques.

I also attend national and international conferences regularly to keep learning, growing, and bringing the best of global aesthetic science to ACSC.

Can you discuss any challenges you’ve faced in marketing and how you’ve overcome them?

Dr Yash Mehta: Marketing has been one of the biggest learning curves. Word of mouth remains powerful in healthcare, but I quickly realised that to grow, we needed to embrace the digital space. Social media, content marketing, and online presence have become critical.

While it was unfamiliar territory at first, I now work closely with skilled professionals who understand how to bring our brand story to life in a way that’s both authentic and relevant.

How does your brand implement ethical practices?

Dr Yash Mehta: Ethics are the foundation of everything we do at ACSC. We never recommend unnecessary treatments. I never tell patients what they should do. Our role is to listen, understand their concerns, and offer safe, realistic, medically sound options. The goal is to guide—not to impose—and that respect for patient autonomy is non-negotiable in our practice.

Future vision and expansion plans of the brand?

The plan is to expand ACSC across multiple locations in India, while staying true to the core values that define us: integrity, hyper-personalisation, and results that honour each person’s natural beauty.

We’re also in the process of launching a science-backed wellness space within the clinic, extending our commitment to holistic, evidence-based care.

What are your success tips for young and aspiring entrepreneurs?

Dr Yash Mehta: Every entrepreneur starts with a dream, but it’s your values that will keep you going when things get tough. No matter how bumpy the ride gets, stay rooted in your ‘why.’ It’s easy to get pulled in different directions, but don’t let challenges blur your vision.

One thing I learned early: you have to be adaptable and make decisions with clarity and purpose. And don’t underestimate the power of a solid support system. For me, it was my family—they kept me steady through the ups and downs

Dr. Mehta’s dedication to ethical practice and natural enhancement shines through. His insights reveal how ACSC is truly reshaping the future of aesthetic and cosmetic surgery, empowering individuals with renewed self-assurance.
