Who is Mark Zuckerberg?

Mark Zuckerberg is the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, one of the world’s largest social media networks. He is a self-made billionaire and one of the most influential people in the world.

Mark Zuckerberg was born in a very middle class family was 2nd child among 4 siblings, born in New York on 14th of May 1984.

At a very young age he developed interest in computer programming , and also learned it, and at very young age of 12 he made his 1st ever messaging app called “zucknet” which was made for interoffice communication which was further used in his father’s office.

He already started showing signs of success at a very young age and was also doing great in his academics.

After completing his higher education, he got admission in Havard University, where he made a computer program which helped other students to choose their subject of interest from the given list, but unfortunate the university made it shut.

In high school, Mark Zuckerberg developed an interest in computer programming. He started making small programs and selling them to classmates for $5 each.

One of these programs was “Facemash,” which allowed students to compare their photos side by side online.

At first, Harvard University refused to admit Zuckerberg because of this program (it violated their privacy policy), but after he wrote an apology letter, they changed their mind.

Mark Zuckerberg always thought of making a social media platform of youth around and with the support of his friends he was successful in doing so, he launched ” FACEBOOK” which was only for the Havard students, this platform was officially launched on June 4th.

At the ripe age of 20, Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook with his college roommates Dustin Moskovitz and Eduardo Saverin which was only for the Havard students. Facebook was officially launched on February 4^th 2004

The company quickly grew in popularity and now has over 2 billion users worldwide. In addition to being CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg is also a board member of several other organizations, including The Giving Pledge and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

After the 2nd year of his college he made a very bold decision of dropping out, in order to concentrate on Facebook, and guess what his decision was so right, his patience , passion and hard work all those things that he had given to his “dream project“.

Facebook crossed over 1 million users at the end of 2004. Now it was no longer only a Haverd student’s platform but was a “social media platform”, which was used by people all over the world in order to connect to family, friends, and make new friends.

Mark was successful in the vision that he saw that he wanted Facebook to be, he was the one to make the social media app to a million dollar company before turning 30.

Currently more than 2.85billion people are active on Facebook. He is now known as one of the influential personalities and one of the richest and youngest entrepreneurs in the world wide.

Mark Zukerberg is a perfect example to say, ” its not necessary to have a degree in order to be successful”, one need to have the complete knowledge, and he had it.

Zuckerberg is a self-made billionaire with a net worth of over $70 billion. He is one of the richest people in the world and has been ranked by Forbes magazine as the 5th most powerful person in the world.

Despite his immense success, Zuckerberg has faced several controversies throughout his career. In 2018, it was revealed that Facebook had allowed access to users’ data without their knowledge or consent.

This led to a major public outcry and an investigation by the U.S. government. Nonetheless, Zuckerberg has remained at the helm of Facebook and continues to steer the company towards new heights.

There’s no doubt that Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most successful entrepreneurs of our generation. He has changed the way we communicate and connect with each other, and his impact on the world is immeasurable.
