27th December 2024, Dharashiv: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated a significant 2 MW AC solar project, which has been installed under the PM Kusum-C initiative by Aditya Green Energy in collaboration with Aviraj Green Energy Pvt Ltd.
This solar project is in Umarga, Dharashiv, Maharashtra, and boasts a total capacity of 2 MW, which is estimated to generate approximately 47.34 lakh KWH (kilowatt-hours) of electricity per annum.
The electricity produced by this solar power plant will be supplied to around 670 farmers in the surrounding villages, addressing their energy needs and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
The project was completed in partnership with Grew Energy, which has provided an impressive 4704 units of high-quality 550 Wp (watt peak) solar modules for the installation.
Mr. Adinath Sangwe, Managing Director of Aditya Green Energy Pvt Ltd, also expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with the state government for the project. He emphasized, “Under the able leadership of hon’ble CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis, the renewable energy sector in the state is witnessing diverse opportunities for collaborative growth.
To address the pressing issue of electricity supply for our farmers, renewable energy—especially solar power, which is abundantly available in India—will play a crucial role. We have entrusted Grew Energy for this project due to their committed goals of environment sustainability with qualitative products.”
Speaking on the development, Mr. Vinay Thadani, the CEO & Director at Grew Energy, expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Maharashtra for initiating projects of this nature that directly benefit farmers stating, “Our partnership for TOPCON modules with Aditya Green for such a prestigious project stands as a testament to our commitment to high standards.

The completed solar project will have a positive environmental impact equivalent to planting 1 lakh trees and is anticipated to mitigate over 63000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
The local farmers have expressed their satisfaction with the solar project, as it provides a sustainable and reliable source of power, and they have conveyed their gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this project a reality.
