GenWorks partners with MicroCheck

As a part of the campaign, expert female technicians will visit houses across all 14 districts in the state to screen and test women for breast and cervical cancer.

India, 08, September, 2022:  GenWorks, India’s leading digital medical and healthcare solution provider, has partnered with MicroCheck, a medical diagnostic company, to introduce its latest cancer screening campaign. It will enable early-stage breast and cervical cancer detection.

The initiative was launched in Kerala by renowned actors Manju Warrier and Bhavana through a short film titled “The Survivor.”

As a part of the campaign, expert female technicians will visit houses across all 14 districts in the state to screen and test women for breast and cervical cancer.

Manju Warrier, who launched the screening campaign, said, “People often equate cancer with death. But not many know that many types of cancers can be prevented with timely diagnosis.

Many women are reluctant to come forward for cancer screening and testing due to the stigma and discomfort attached.

Many are also worried about the additional financial burden on their families. With this initiative, the screening will be done in the comfort of their homes. It will encourage many women to get tested and diagnose the disease early.”

Dr. CK Naushad, CEO & MD, Micro Health Laboratories, said, “All vulnerable women will be screened using liquid-crystal contact thermography.

This advanced, non-intrusive painless measurement technique is devoid of any radiation and discomfort. The in-built AI ensures timely and accurate identification of issues at a very early stage.”

Balaji R R, Co-founder & COO, GenWorks, said, “The mortality rate of breast cancer in our country is very high.

The primary reason is late diagnosis. Our latest collaboration is committed to that. We are providing the technology, devices, and necessary training to MicroCheck personnel to conduct the tests in the privacy of people’s homes.

Additionally, all countries have to eradicate cervical cancer by 2030, as per the mandate by the WHO. And these devices will allow you to detect cancer early, reducing mortality.

Women over 25 years and those with suppressed immune systems are recommended to undergo regular breast and cervical cancer screening tests.’’

As per the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, breast cancer is one of the most common cancer ailments among women in India. Studies have shown that regular screening of women with no symptoms has lowered the mortality rate.
