Google India Launches Accelerator Program For Women-Led Startups
June 15, 2022: Google India announced on Wednesday the launch of its Accelerator Program for Women-Led Startups.
The initiative is aimed at helping early-stage women entrepreneurs build their businesses and grow the local ecosystem of startups.
The Accelerator Program For Women-Led Startups will place special focus on areas like access to networks, mentorship, hiring challenges, access to capital, and many others which, for a variety of social reasons and low representation, prove challenging for women founders.
The 12-week program will offer mentorship and guidance from Google and external experts, as well as access to resources and facilities at the company’s headquarters in Bangalore.
“At Google, we are passionate about helping entrepreneurs build great businesses, regardless of their gender. This accelerator program is designed to support some of the most talented and ambitious women entrepreneurs in India, and we are excited to see what they can achieve,” said Vice President, Southeast Asia & India, Google.
Google’s Startups Accelerator – India Women Founders programme first batch is going to enroll up to 20 women-co-founded/founded startups in the country. It support them through a three-month programme.
The Accelerator Program For Women-Led Startups will also feature courses and support in areas like as cloud, UX, Android, product strategy and growth, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), web,, as well as access to a worldwide community of female founders.
