HDFC Bank has introduced an HDFC UPI interface that allows customers to make fund transfers instantly with the help of their smartphones.
To avail of the UPI facility, a customer is required to have a smartphone, then download the UPI App that supports the smartphone, and lastly get registered with HDFC UPI login to make fund transfers.
UPI allows customers to go cashless and transfer funds using smartphones with the help of a Virtual Payment Address (VPA).
VPA is a virtual identity that is created when a customer registers for HDFC UPI Service. The virtual address allows users to transfer funds without requiring any bank details like account number, IFSC Code, etc.
Also, there is no need to add beneficiaries as in the case of NEFT or IMPS. After creating VPA, m-Pin is required to be created and bank accounts are required to be linked to proceed further.
The handle name of HDFC UPI ID or we can say the VPI has a suffix – @hdfcbank.
