Bangalore-based Health startup Tricog raises $8.5 Million To Help Diagnose Heart Problems
April 20, 2023: Bangalore-based healthcare startup Tricog has raised USD 8.5 million (roughly Rs. 70 crore) from Japan’s Omron Healthcare and Japan’s Sony Innovation Fund.
With this funding round, the company has so far raised USD 30 million, the company said and claimed to have touched the lives of more than 12 million patients so far.
The company said existing investors, Inventus Partners,University of Tokyo Edge Capital, and Singapore’s SG Innovate also participated in this funding round.
The company, which specializes in preventive diagnostics and cardiac care, was founded in 2015 by Dr Charit Bhoraj, Dr. Zainul Lazarwala and Dr. It was erected by Udayan Dasgupta.
With this funding round, the company has so far raised USD 30 million, the company said and claimed to have touched the lives of more than 12 million patients so far. Tricog’s platform is deployed in more than 5,000 cath labs, hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centers.
Tricog is known for its AI-powered platform that enables rapid diagnosis of heart-related problems by transmitting electrocardiogram (ECG) readings to cardiologists through a cloud-based system.
The startup’s technology helps shorten the time between the onset of symptoms and the start of treatment, increasing the chances of saving lives.
Tricog has already made significant strides in the Indian healthcare industry, and its platform is currently being used in more than 2,000 clinics and hospitals across the country.
With this new funding, the startup aims to increase its reach and impact by making its technology more accessible to people in need.
The startup’s innovative approach aims to revolutionize the way heart-related problems are diagnosed and treated, and the latest funding will undoubtedly help Tricog achieve its goals.
