ProXpense CEO Himanshu Singh on Revolutionizing Expenses

Himanshu Singh, Founder & CEO of ProXpense

An Exclusive Interview with Mr. Himanshu Singh, Founder & CEO of ProXpense, an AI-powered saas Startup

Meet Mr. Himanshu Singh, Founder & CEO of ProXpense, an AI-powered SaaS startup transforming expense management. In this interview, he reveals his journey overcoming fintech challenges, leveraging AI trends, and scaling for the future. Essential insights await.

What inspired you to found ProXpense, and how did your experience shape the vision for an AI-led platform combining travel, expense, and payments?

Himanshu Singh: ProXpense was inspired by my firsthand experience of working closely with enterprises that were forced to manage corporate travel, expense, and payments through disconnected systems. I repeatedly saw how this fragmentation led to policy gaps, revenue leakage, and frustrating employee experiences.

Instead of simply digitizing manual processes, I wanted to completely reimagine the ecosystem as AI-first from the ground up.

My journey across SaaS, fintech, and enterprise solutions helped me understand the practical pain points of finance leaders and HR teams, and that shaped the vision behind ProXpense a single AI-led platform where travel, expense, and payments are unified, intelligent, and automated, with software adapting to enterprise needs rather than the other way around.

ProXpense stands out with OCR-powered Intelli Audit for receipt scanning and fraud detection, how does this technology work in practice, and what impact have you seen on client efficiency?

Himanshu Singh: Our OCR-powered Intelli Audit brings automation to what used to be an extremely manual, time-consuming finance function. When an employee uploads a receipt, our OCR technology extracts all relevant data including merchant name, date, tax details, and amount.

The AI engine then validates this information against company policies, trip details, and historical spending patterns, automatically identifying policy breaches, duplicate claims, or suspicious entries.

This means finance teams only focus on exceptions while compliant expenses are processed seamlessly. In practice, this has cut down auditing time drastically, accelerated reimbursements, reduced fraud, and allowed finance departments to shift their focus from operational checks to strategic business insights.

Serving over 5,000 enterprise users across industries is impressive—what strategies drove this rapid adoption, especially with global compliance features?

Himanshu Singh: Our rapid adoption has been driven by building ProXpense as an AI-native platform that solves real enterprise challenges rather than just offering incremental features.

Organizations found immediate value in our ability to deploy quickly, enforce policies automatically, and deliver a user-friendly experience that increased adoption among employees.

Our support for multi-entity structures, multi-currency environments, and country-specific compliance requirements resonated strongly with companies operating across borders. Additionally, our API-first approach allowed easy integration with HR, ERP, travel systems, banks, and card networks without long implementation cycles.

This combination of global readiness, AI automation, and ease of integration has been central to our growth to more than 5,000 enterprise users.

As the only platform fully integrating Travel + Expense + Payments with API-first design and multi-entity support, what sets ProXpense apart from competitors like Expensify or Concur?

Himanshu Singh: What differentiates ProXpense from Expensify or Concur is that ProXpense was conceived as an AI-first platform from the beginning and designed to deeply unify travel, expenses, and payments in one ecosystem.

Many existing tools were built in an earlier era and later layered with AI features, whereas in our case AI drives every critical function from policy ingestion and automated audits to predictive analytics and fraud detection.

Our API-first architecture means we connect seamlessly with banks, payment networks, travel platforms, and enterprise systems, positioning ProXpense as a central financial control hub rather than just an expense reporting tool.

Combined with global compliance capabilities and multi-entity support, this makes ProXpense a complete operating system for enterprise travel and spend management.

ProXpense currently is now part of select global tools which has Global Travel Content, multi continent payment ecosystem and global Expense system.

Looking to 2027, what upcoming features or expansions excite you most, and how will ProXpense scale to even more global enterprises?

Himanshu Singh: By 2027, ProXpense will be significantly more global, intelligent, and deeply embedded into enterprise financial workflows. We are also in process to launch global solutions for SMB this year.

We are also working on launching cards in US, Europe, Middle East as well as working on a stronger AI-based fraud detection that anticipates risks before they occur, and more autonomous approval workflows powered by our AI engine.

We are also investing in sustainability-led travel management by enabling carbon footprint tracking and greener routing options for enterprises focused on ESG goals. Our expansion roadmap covers the Middle East, Europe, and North America, supported by strong ecosystem partnerships.

The platform will increasingly move from being a management tool to becoming a proactive advisor that helps enterprises optimize how they travel, spend, and pay worldwide.

What’s your leadership approach to fostering innovation in a fast-evolving fintech space like travel and expense management?

Himanshu Singh: My leadership approach centers on empowering teams to challenge conventional processes, stay close to customers, and innovate quickly. By fostering a culture of independence and creativity, I empower my team to ideate and make impactful contributions.

At ProXpense, we keep hierarchies lean, ownership high and provide high independence so that ideas can move rapidly from concept to execution.

I also see AI not just as technology but as a partner that enhances human decision-making and creativity.

In a fast-moving fintech environment, this culture of curiosity, experimentation, and customer obsession helps us stay ahead of the curve and continuously deliver meaningful solutions rather than just new features.

Himanshu Singh’s leadership at ProXpense exemplifies AI-driven innovation in SaaS fintech. His strategies for tackling obstacles and spotting trends offer a roadmap for entrepreneurs. ProXpense is set to redefine expenses—watch this space.
