Being a passionate learner, Krishna Kumar or K.K. continued his learning process and with each visit to some of the leading universities in India and abroad, he kept connecting with the younger generation, trying to learn from them the new-age ways of doing business.

This is where he stumbled upon the idea of launching, though there is a personal twist to the story as well. After a late-night office meeting in Noida, K.K. was craving home-cooked chicken but he was dismayed to learn that it was impossible to order raw chicken at that hour of the day.

It was that very night that K.K. booked the domain, and embarked upon his entrepreneurial journey.

Though kicked off as just a physical store in Delhi-NCR, K.K. knew he had hit the jackpot when he received a good number of orders within a week of opening the business. The initial journey was fraught with obstacles and K.K. had to face the heart-breaking closure of his very first store in Delhi-NCR.

But instead of being disheartened completely, he became determined to make a comeback, after which the company gradually grew to a profitable status. The company even indulged in door-to-door marketing using pamphlets, brochures and canopies.

Later now, the company is also focussing on national newspapers and digital ads. From the initial days of opening exclusive Meatwale stores to adopting the franchise model, Meatwale has come a long way.
