For example, Moz considers links from other websites as one way to determine your site’s DA while SEMRush takes into account factors like number of indexed pages and amount of external backlinks among others.
Increasing your site’s domain authority can help you see an increase in rankings, traffic and even conversions. This can be done by following proven strategies I’ve broken down below.
Your content is the most important piece of your SEO strategy. In fact, it’s often said that “content is king” because it’s so important in driving traffic to your site.
If you want to improve your domain authority and get more organic search traffic, then you need to make sure that you’re publishing high-quality content regularly.
Content should be well-researched and original. You should also ensure that it’s relevant to your target audience and well-written with concise sentences and paragraphs.
The second step to improving your domain authority is to optimize your website for search engines and users alike.
This means putting in place the right SEO practices to increase rankings and make it easier for people to find you online.
One of the most important things you can do is make sure that your website is easy for users to navigate.
This will not only help visitors get exactly what they need, but also keep them coming back so that they can stay updated with everything going on in your industry!
It’s also important that you have great content on each page of your site. As you can see, the real challenge of your site is the ability to get both users and search engines to enjoy your site.

However, if your site is more commercial or promotional in nature (even if it’s an informational page about a product), then it’s best to avoid these kinds of links altogether.
The reason for this is simple: Google knows that many webmasters use spammy tactics like buying links on Fiverr or using automated tools like GSA SER (the most popular SEO software) to build their list of backlinks.
If they find out that your website has been involved in such practices too often over time—or even once—they’ll penalize your domain authority score by either demoting it from good standing or outright dropping it from their search engine results altogether (known as Panda).

Your meta descriptions are the short lines of text that appear underneath a website’s URL in search results.
These meta descriptions, which can be up to 250 characters long, give readers an idea of what they’ll find if they click on a page’s listing.
The content of your meta description should be compelling and relevant to your target audience, while also being keyword-rich so that it shows up higher in SERPs (search engine result pages).
To create compelling, keyword-rich meta descriptions:
- Use the same keywords you used in your content for each piece of content you publish. If you have 10 pages about dogs, then use related keywords like “dogs” or “puppies” at least once per page on those pages. That way Google will know what each page is about based on its words and phrases—which means more traffic!
To build a compelling meta description, start with your content’s most important keyword and use it in the first sentence of your description.
That way if someone searches for “dogs” on Google, they’ll see your page as one that mentions this word within its meta description.
If you want even more clicks from search engines, add about 250 characters of SEO-rich copy that describes what readers can expect when they click through to read more about dogs.
