JSW Group Green To Invest In Energy In Karnataka , New Greenfield Port Will Invest 1 Lakh Crore: Chairman Sajjan Jindal
November 3, 2022: JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal said Karnataka holds its place as one of the most preferred investment destinations in India, truly representing the government’s “One State, Many Opportunities” mantra, Jindal said at Invest Karnataka 2022.

“This is in addition to our one lakh crore investment in the state and the investment includes investment in steel, green energy, cement, paint and new greenfield ports in Karnataka,” Jindal said in his address at the inauguration of Invest Karnataka. 2022.
Addressing the event on Wednesday, Jindal noted that JSW Group’s Ballari steel plant in Karnataka has become the largest in India and will soon become the largest steel plant in the world.
He also urged the state government to consider auctioning the mineral as it would further encourage investment in the manufacturing sector and support Karnataka’s growth trajectory.
In this regard, Jindal praised the Odisha government for being the “most aggressive” state in auctioning “mineral assets, mines”.
“When I talk about the evolution in steelmaking, time is of the essence. Minerals like iron ore will not always be needed for steel production, therefore, it is imperative that these assets are monetized at the earliest,” Jindal said.
