An Exclusive Interview with Mr. Kalpesh Gawade, Founder & MD of Skinnovation Pvt Ltd, a leading Indian pharmaceutical and medical distribution company

Join us with Mr. Kalpesh Gawade, Founder and MD of Skinnovation Pvt Ltd, India’s leading pharmaceutical and medical distribution powerhouse. In this interview, he shares strategies driving efficient supply chains, innovation, and accessible healthcare across the nation.

Can you share a bit about your early career and what inspired you to found Skinnovation Pvt Ltd?

Kalpesh Gawade: My early years in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries provided me with firsthand experience in the science, regulations, and evolving needs of aesthetic dermatology in India.

Working alongside doctors, I noticed a real gap between the latest global advancements and what was actually available locally.

This realization led me to start Skinnovation Pvt Ltd. My aim was simple: to introduce high-quality, evidence-based aesthetic solutions to India, always upholding ethical and scientific integrity.

For me, building this company has never been just about business. It’s about making a difference helping doctors access the right tools, and ultimately touching lives of people by making them happy & comfortable in their own skin.

What gaps or challenges in the Indian beauty and aesthetics industry were you aiming to address when you founded Skinnovation?

Kalpesh Gawade: When I founded Skinnovation, I saw three major gaps in the Indian aesthetics industry.

There were a few big challenges I kept seeing. First, it was hard to find high-quality products in India that met global standards and were truly backed by solid science.

Second, many doctors didn’t have enough opportunities for hands-on training and structured education when it came to new technologies. And third, I felt there needed to be more honest, transparent partnerships in an industry that was changing fast.

That’s why we built Skinnovation: to bring proven innovations to India, support medical learning through our Skinquest platform, and create lasting, trust-based relationships with doctors.

Our goal hasn’t changed we want to raise the bar, keep things safe, and make a real, positive impact in an industry that helps change lives.

How has Skinnovation made advanced technologies like Microneedling Radiofrequency (MNRF) more accessible across India?

Kalpesh Gawade: At Skinnovation, we haven’t just focused on bringing in new technology we’ve worked to make sure it’s actually within reach for clinics all over India.

We did this by teaming up with trusted global partners, making sure everything is backed by real clinical results, and building easy-to-follow training programs.

For us, making something accessible isn’t just about putting it on the shelf. It’s about making it affordable, offering education, and being there with support every step of the way.

By growing our sales network, running hands-on workshops, and always being available for technical help, we’ve helped clinics in big cities and smaller towns confidently use new technology.

What matters most to us is making sure innovation isn’t just for a select few our goal is to help people everywhere benefit from the latest treatments.

What changes are you seeing in consumer expectations with the rise of ‘Anti-Tox’ treatments, and how is Skinnovation responding?

Kalpesh Gawade: Patients today are a lot more informed and thoughtful about their choices, especially with the rise of “Anti-Tox” treatments. Most people are looking for natural-looking improvements, not dramatic changes.

They want to feel safe, avoid long recovery times, and keep their skin healthy for the long run subtle results matter more than overdone looks.

We’re also seeing more interest in treatments that prevent problems before they start, and in energy-based devices that help the body boost its own collagen and repair itself naturally.

That’s why at Skinnovation, we’re focused on offering non-invasive and regenerative solutions backed by real science. We put a lot of effort into educating doctors and sharing treatment protocols that put safety, personalization, and natural results first.

Our approach is straightforward: keep up with what patients really want, and always stick to what’s ethical and proven to work.

How do combination-led solutions such as the Wonder Body Device, Density, MCT, and ULTRAcel Q+ work together at Skinnovation to deliver standout results?

Kalpesh Gawade: At Skinnovation, we strongly believe that the future of aesthetics lies in combination-led protocols rather than standalone treatments.

Devices like Wonder Body Device, Density, MCT, and ULTRAcel Q+ each address different layers and concerns from muscle stimulation and fat modulation to skin tightening, collagen remodeling, and regenerative enhancement.

When strategically combined, they create a synergistic effect that delivers more comprehensive and longer-lasting results.

For example, energy-based skin tightening can be complemented with regenerative injectables, while body contouring technologies can be enhanced with muscle activation platforms for improved toning and definition.

Our role at Skinnovation is not just to supply these technologies, but to educate practitioners on customized combination protocols ensuring safety, precision, and natural-looking outcomes.

This multi-dimensional approach allows clinics to offer patients transformative yet subtle results, which truly stand out in today’s competitive aesthetic landscape.

What makes dermatologists across India trust Skinnovation, and how does bringing world-class technologies to India strengthen that confidence?

Kalpesh Gawade: The trust that doctors place in Skinnovation comes from our consistent focus on quality, science, and long-term partnerships.

From day one, we have prioritized clinically proven technologies, transparent communication, strong regulatory compliance, and robust after-sales support.

Beyond selling devices, we invest heavily in hands-on training, workshops, and continuous education to ensure doctors feel confident and well-supported.

By bringing world-class, globally benchmarked technologies to India, we empower practitioners to offer treatments that match international standards.

This not only enhances clinical outcomes but also strengthens patient trust ultimately reinforcing the confidence doctors have in us as a reliable, ethical partner in their growth journey.

How is India’s shift toward wellness-driven and long-term skin health shaping the future of clinics and technology adoption?

Kalpesh Gawade: India’s shift toward wellness-driven and long-term skin health is fundamentally reshaping the aesthetics industry. Patients today are moving away from quick fixes and are instead seeking preventive, regenerative, and maintenance-based treatments that support overall skin quality and longevity.

This shift is pushing clinics to adopt technologies that stimulate natural collagen production, improve skin architecture, and deliver gradual, sustainable results rather than dramatic short-term changes.

As a result, we are seeing higher adoption of energy-based devices, regenerative solutions, and combination protocols that align with this long-term mindset.

The future of clinics will be centered around personalization, science-backed treatments, and holistic care where technology supports not just beauty, but overall skin wellness and confidence.

Where do you see the Indian aesthetic and skin health ecosystem evolving in the next five years?

Kalpesh Gawade: Over the next five years, I see the Indian aesthetic and skin health ecosystem becoming far more structured, technology-driven, and wellness-focused.

We will witness stronger growth in non-invasive and regenerative treatments, with patients opting for preventive care and long-term maintenance rather than corrective procedures alone.

Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities will also emerge as major growth markets as awareness and affordability increase.

Clinics will become more protocol-driven, data-backed, and combination-oriented, integrating multiple technologies to deliver personalized outcomes. At the same time, regulatory compliance and ethical standards will play a much larger role as the industry matures.

Overall, India is poised to become one of the most dynamic aesthetic markets globally driven by informed consumers, skilled practitioners, and access to world-class innovations.

What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs and aesthetic professionals who want to build meaningful, future-ready brands in India?

Kalpesh Gawade: My advice to young entrepreneurs and aesthetic professionals is simple build with purpose, not just ambition.

First, prioritize science and credibility over shortcuts. In a rapidly growing industry, long-term success comes from ethical practices, strong clinical backing, and consistent quality.

Second, invest in continuous learning. The aesthetics space evolves quickly, and staying updated with global advancements is crucial to remaining future-ready.

Third, focus on relationships. Whether it’s with patients, doctors, or partners  trust is your most valuable asset.

Finally, think beyond transactions. Aim to create impact, elevate standards, and touch lives. If your brand is built on integrity, innovation, and genuine value creation, growth will naturally follow.

The future belongs to those who combine vision with responsibility.

Mr. Kalpesh Gawade’s leadership at Skinnovation exemplifies resilience and foresight in India’s pharma sector. His insights on distribution excellence and future growth inspire the industry. Thanks for this invaluable conversation—here’s to healthier tomorrows.
