Empowering Global Learners: An Interview with CA Kamal Chhabra, Founder & CEO of KC GlobEd

CA Kamal Chhabra - Founder & CEO of KC GlobEd

An Exclusive Interview with CA Kamal Chhabra, Founder & CEO of KC GlobEd, a fast-emerging global ed-tech platform

CA Kamal Chhabra, Founder and CEO of KC GlobEd, shares his inspiring journey of building a global ed-tech platform that empowers learners, bridges educational gaps, and fosters international connections through innovative digital learning solutions for a rapidly evolving world.

What inspired you to launch KC GlobEd, and how has your journey as Founder & CEO unfolded so far?

Kamal Chhabra: My journey began in a modest home in Faridabad, where access to quality education was limited. I started my career early, working across Africa, the Middle East, and the United States to support my family.

During my time in the U.S., I realized that global finance certifications such as the U.S. CPA, U.S. CMA, and U.S. EA were changing how professionals advanced their careers.

Only a few Indian students had access to structured, affordable pathways to pursue these global credentials & the same realization became the foundation for KC GlobEd.

I wanted to build a platform that breaks down barriers: financial, geographical & informational and enables learners to gain global education in a well-organized, goal-directed manner.

The journey has been highly rewarding, and being conferred an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Global Finance Education by Cedarbrook University, USA, has been a humbling recognition of this mission.

From mentoring my first set of online students in 2020 to now guiding thousands of students in 122 countries, every step has reminded me that if education is made available, transformation is a sure outcome.

What differentiates KC GlobEd from other ed-tech players in the international certification space?

Kamal Chhabra: KC GlobEd was never envisioned as a typical ed-tech company. We see ourselves as a global learning ecosystem enabler rather than a review course provider.

We emphasize on three things: personalization, practical learning & mentorship and that creates all the difference.

Our learning model is built on proprietary T.E.E.E. (Tailored Education for Enhanced Efficiency) technology.

It assesses every learner across five parameters i.e., learning style, pattern, behavior, strengths, and weaknesses to craft hyper-personalized study plans.

The goal is to make students focus on efficiency and mastery in the long term. The second differentiator is mentorship.

We work with over 280 industry mentors, including CFOs, partners, and consultants from leading firms, who help students connect what they learn with what the industry expects.

Lastly, our programs are outcome-driven, aligned to global exam blueprints, and supported by placement guidance that ensures students are career-ready, not just exam-ready.

KC GlobEd focuses on international accounting, finance, and business certifications. How is the platform making global learning more accessible?

Kamal Chhabra: Accessibility has been our mission right from day one. When I began, I wanted a student from a Tier-2 city to experience the same learning as a student in Mumbai or New York.

To do this, we completely overhauled the pricing and delivery model. Rather than selling single courses, we launched an all-access subscription plan that in spirit is like a “Netflix for finance learning.”

For roughly ₹40,000, students receive access to several programs and resources worth several lakhs elsewhere. This includes global certification preparation in U.S. CPA, U.S. CMA, U.S. EA, and UK ACCA, along with mentorship, practice tests, and study materials.

We’ve also built vernacular-friendly features and mobile-first access, ensuring students from smaller towns and non-English backgrounds can participate effectively. By combining affordability with global relevance, we’ve made finance education borderless.

What are some innovative features of KC GlobEd’s platform that enhance student engagement and outcomes?

Kamal Chhabra: Our innovation lies in how technology and human mentorship work together. The platform provides real-time analytics, highlighting a student’s progress, strengths, and weak areas.

It automatically adjusts study plans, recommends focused practice sessions, and updates question banks and playlists based on live performance data.

We’re also integrating AI-driven multilingual support so students can access video lectures and reading materials in their preferred language.

Features like live-class recordings, on-demand practice tests, and performance dashboards give students a sense of ownership over their learning.

We also actively work on feedback integration. Each module allows students to share challenges instantly with our academic team, ensuring no learner feels left behind. We’re using technology to create an environment that feels personal, interactive, and outcome-oriented.

How do you see the demand for global professional certifications evolving in the next 5–10 years?

Kamal Chhabra: The appetite will only get stronger. With finance going more global, there is a demand for people who can deal with multiple regulatory environments. The establishment of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India is evidence of this phenomenon.

There are over 1,800 GCCs in India alone serving U.S. and European clients, and this is expected to double over the next few years. Global certifications such as the U.S. CPA, U.S. CMA, U.S. EA, and UK ACCA have become passports to these opportunities.

They signal credibility, adaptability, and globalness. Along with this, employers are requiring professionals to have knowledge of data analytics, AI, and sustainability reporting.

The decade ahead will belong to finance professionals who possess global credentials along with digital savviness and strategic thinking.

Continuing KC GlobEd’s efforts to foster global learning and collaboration, the brand is also associated with the upcoming Tech4Ed International Conference.

What is Tech4Ed International Conference all about?

Kamal Chhabra: The Tech4Ed International Conference 2025, jointly hosted by the Association of Indian Universities and KC GlobEd, is a landmark global gathering focused on “AI for Education and Skills.”

It brings together policy makers, university teachers, and business leaders for a productive discussion on how the use of Artificial Intelligence in education is influencing learning and the world of work.

The conference is a high-level forum for sharing ideas, advocating for the responsible use of AI, and jointly creating future-proofed educational ecosystems that empower the youth and facilitate the return of the development to the less privileged sectors of ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌society

In what ways can initiatives like Tech4Ed bridge the gap between academia, industry and policymakers?

Kamal Chhabra: The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ role of initiatives such as Tech4Ed is essentially to bring together the three sectors – academia, industry, and policymakers, – that are somewhat distinct but very much interdependent by creating a common ground for discussion and cooperation.

One of the effects of the conference is to facilitate the contact and thus the mutual understanding and co-operation of different sectors through the topics covered e.g. AI-driven education, ethical implementation, and the future of work.

The conference thus acts as a means of communication between the various players which eventually results in joint activities.

Tech4Ed is a perfect example of how the three crucial elements – innovation, policy, and pedagogy can be combined for educational systems to not only keep up with the changes but also to be able to forecast and prepare the coming transformations in the industry.

Thus, it is a vital factor in the systems being industry-relevant but also sustainable and at the same time in line with national and global skill development ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌priorities.

As an entrepreneur, what were the biggest challenges you faced while building KC GlobEd, and how did you overcome them?

Kamal Chhabra: The greatest challenge was establishing trust in a noisy market. In the early stages, we were bootstrapped, up against heavy-funding-backed large ed-tech firms. We had to bet on authenticity, word of mouth, and outcomes.

Creating credible, high-quality content from zero was another challenge. We developed our question banks, study notes, and mock tests internally so that they were up to the level of international exams. It was time-consuming, but it was worth it.

Finally, recruiting talent was a challenge. We needed teachers who were invested in outcomes, not mere content transfer.

We established an environment over time where academic teams, mentors, and technology specialists collaborated in harmony, driven by a sense of purpose. That clarity of purpose allowed us to break through initial failures.

What advice would you give to aspiring students and young professionals looking to build international careers in finance and business?

Kamal Chhabra: The world is changing at a faster pace than ever. Degrees will no longer determine jobs. It would require skills. My advice to future professionals is straightforward: keep learning, think globally, and act mindfully.

Begin by determining where your field of interest lies. It may be taxation, auditing, corporate finance, or management accounting. Choose one and go for the global credential applicable to it. Don’t rush.

Build your foundation, hone your communication skills, and remain tech and new money trend curious. And finally, find a mentor.

Learning from others who have walked the path first can remove years from the process of trial and error. The possibilities are unlimited for those who stay persistent, flexible, and grounded in a commitment to lifelong learning.

With a strong vision for accessible and quality education, CA Kamal Chhabra continues to lead KC GlobEd toward transforming global learning, shaping future-ready minds, and making education an inclusive experience powered by innovation and global collaboration.
