As part of this endeavour, we invited yet another passionate entrepreneur Mr. Kartik Shah – CEO at Coldrush Logistics for an exclusive interview with us.

Services offered by Coldrush Logistics

Mr. Kartik Shah: At present, we are offering several high-end logistics services. This includes Chillers frozen & ambient warehousing, Dedicated Chambers, Blast Freezing, Grading & Sorting, Repacking Services and Vehicle Plugging.

We also offer services to deal with road congestion and other complexities, making the overall logistics process smooth and hassle-free.

At Coldrush Logistics, our core competency lies in saving valuable resources and time. After extensive research and development, we have mastered the art of handling bulk loads, city distribution and multiple city drops with utmost ease and sincerity.

We also provide integration of customers’ inbound and outbound logistics to ensure seamless delivery. Our Online Tracking and Temperature Monitoring System for cargo visibility also prove pivotal in meeting client and end-customer requirements.

Our temperature range is between + 25 and -25°C. Coldrush Logistics also boasts of meeting customer demands with ‘Just in Time’ production schedules, flexibility and availability.

How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Mr. Kartik Shah: Having comprehensive knowledge and industry experience in cold chain and supply chain, we knew the know-how of the industry.

After keen observation and analysis, we realised there is a massive gap in the cold chain logistics facility.

Temperature-sensitive products are mostly wasted due to a lack of adequate resources and technology. To address this gap, we decided to lay the foundation of Coldrush Logistics– a concept to start an organised cold chain logistics business that gradually converted into an FSSAI Compliant and BRC-Accredited supply chain company.

What is unique about your business?

Mr. Kartik Shah: There was a considerable gap in the cold chain logistics facility when we started our journey. However, since the inception of Coldrush Logistics in 2012, we have bridged this gap to a significant extent.

Today, we are present across India at multiple locations, including tier-II and tier-III cities. One of our USPs is 24*7*365 customer support. We are available to assist our customers at any point in time.

In addition, we have also initiated the pilot phase of electric vehicle and charging point facilities. We are receiving brilliant responses already.  

What made you choose this type of business?

Mr. Kartik Shah: After investing more than two decades in the supply chain and cold chain ecosystem, we thought that it was time to start addressing the loopholes.

Through our primary research and market study, we realised there’s a huge lack of organised cold chain logistics companies in India.

It was a great opportunity for us to come up with solutions that could bridge this gap effectively. So, we decided to build our business in this space.

What was your mission at the outset?

Mr. Kartik Shah: Since the beginning, our mission has been to deliver unique, advanced and customised cold chain solutions keeping the time consumption, cost and temperature in mind.

Our motive was to take a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to providing end-to-end cold logistics solutions.

How many employees are there in your organisation?

Mr. Kartik Shah: At present, Coldrush Logistics has more than 150+ talented and hardworking employees. They are pillars of our organisation and one of the biggest reasons for our success and growth.

Your company’s goals?

Mr. Kartik Shah: The ultimate goal of Coldrush Logistics is to make world-class technology-driven cold chain logistics solutions for the quality storage of finished goods. Our efforts are streamlined to reach this, and I am happy to share that we are already halfway through.

How do you build a successful customer base?

Mr. Kartik Shah: Our success mantra is 3Rs: Response, Reliability and Relationship. These three strong pillars are driving our growth and helping us build a reliable and loyal customer base.

Who has been your greatest inspiration?

Mr. Kartik Shah: Our biggest inspirations are our Fleet pilots. They stimulate us to do better, reach greater heights, and resolve every obstacle with utmost ease and efficiency.

What are some of the biggest mistakes you’ve made?

Mr. Kartik Shah: One of our biggest mistakes was not prioritising technology during the initial stage. However, we quickly realised our mistake and rectified it immediately. 

If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would be it?

Mr. Kartik Shah: As I have mentioned before, we work on 3Rs: Response, Reliability and Relationship. And I would recommend the same 3Rs for everyone who is starting a business and planning to sustain in the high-competitive ecosystem in the long run. The 3Rs helped us reach where we are today, and I am sure it will help others do the same.

Does your company help the community or society?

Mr. Kartik Shah: At Coldrush Logistics, we have always believed in giving back to society. At present, we have many CSR activities going on under the Mehta Charitable Trust_ for Aid.

It is a charitable trust and an NGO dedicated to providing Medical and Educational help to the underprivileged and differently-abled population.
