Katrina Kaif was born in Hong Kong. She lived in many countries before moving to London. Katrina received her first modeling opportunity as a teenager.
In 2003, Indian film maker Kaizad Gustad casted her in Boom at a fashion show in London. That was critical & commercial failure.

Early life of Katrina Kaif:
Katrina was born on 16th July 1983 in British Hong Kong with her mother surname Turquotte. Her father is a British businessman of Kashmiri descent. Her father name is Mohammed Kaif.
Her mother Suzanne is an English lawyer & charity worker. She has seven siblings. She is having three younger sisters named Melissa, Sonia & Isabel.
Katrina Kaif has three elder sisters named Stephanie, Christine, and Natasha & an elder brother named Sebastien.
Her parents divorced when she was a child. Her father moved to United States. She & her siblings were raised by her mother.
As per an interview to Indian Express in 2009, she was not in touch with her father. She lived for three years in London before moving to India. At the age of 14, Katrina won her first beauty contest in Hawaii.
After that, she received her first modelling assignment in jewellery campaign. She modelled professionally in London & appeared regularly at London Fashion Week.

Katrina has a close relationship with her family. As her mother is Christian & father is Muslim. She was allowed to practice a faith of her choice & she is a firm believer in God.
As per Times of India reporting in 2009, she uses to visit visits Siddhivinayak Temple, Mount Mary Church, and Sufi shrine Ajmer Sharif Dargah before her films are released.
She had rum0ors of a relationship with actor Salman Khan in 2003. She credits Salman Khan for giving her guidance and confidence.
Katrina Kaif was linked with actor Ranbir Kapoor during filming of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Their holiday photographs were leaked by Stardust in 2013 to confirm their relationship.

Career of Katrina Kaif:
Beginning (2003–2005):
Katrina made her acting debut a Hindi-English heist film with Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Madhu Sapre and Padma Lakshmi.
During that she received more offers & decided to stay in India. For easy pronounce she changed her surname to her father’s surname.
Rohit Bal noticed her at India Fashion Week. Then she appeared in the first Kingfisher Calendar. She got successful modeling in India career by endorsing brands like Coca-Cola, LG, Fevicol & Samsung.
In 2003 Boom had its first screening at the Cannes Film Festival. It was heavily promoted there, but emerged as a critical & commercial failure.

In 2009, she signed Kabir Khan’s terrorism drama New York. She acted with John Abraham & Neil Nitin Mukesh.
The movie performed well at the box office and received favorable reviews. New York bought her first Filmfare nomination for Best Actress.
After that she appeared in a cameo for India’s first underwater thriller Blue. In 2009, she starred with Ranbir Kapoor in Ajab Prem Ki Gahazab Kahani.

2013-present:
In 2013, she rejoined Shah Rukh Khan for his “Temptations Reloaded” concert in Muscat, performing to an audience of over 18,000.
Again she joined Shah Rikh Khan, Deepika Padukone & Pitubull for the opening ceremony of 2013 IPL in KolKatta. She acted with Aamir Khan in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s action thriller Dhoom 3.
Dhoom 3 earned ₹5.42 billion (US$72 million) in box-office receipts. In 2014, she appeared in Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang!

As of 2021, she is filming Tiger 3 & Merry Christmas. She will be the star against Ishaan Khatter & Siddhant Chaturvedi in the horror movie Phone Bhoot. It is slated for release I July 2020.
Philanthropy:
Katrina is involved with Relief Projects India. It is a Charitable Trust run by her mother. It rescues abandoned baby girls & works to prevents female infanticide.
Her winning price from the game show 10 Ka Dum & Kaun Banega Crorepati were donated to her mother’s Mercy Home orphanage.
She was one of several celebrities who created promotional messages for Pearls Wave Trust in 2010. It campaigns against violence & abuse of women & girls.
