Can you provide an overview of Walplast’s journey from its inception to becoming a leading manufacturer of building construction materials in India?

Kaushal Mehta: Walplast was founded in 1980 by Mr. Ashok Mehta, current Chairman of our company. As a first-generation entrepreneur and a respected figure in the Indian building and construction industry, he started the company as a trading business.

However, recognizing the potential for growth and innovation, we transitioned into manufacturing two decades ago.

Since its inception, Walplast has been dedicated to redefining the construction materials industry in India. We have always prioritized innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and our expertise, we have continuously strived for excellence. This commitment has allowed us to develop a diverse range of construction materials.

Today, Walplast proudly stands as a leading manufacturer in the industry. We have played a significant role in the growth and development of the Indian construction landscape. From our humble beginnings with a single manufacturing unit at Vapi, Gujarat we have expanded to operate 25 plants.

Additionally, we are the third-largest producer of wall putty in India. Furthermore, our products are exported to 14 countries, showcasing our global reach and influence.

By investing in research and development and collaborating with industry experts, we have been able to introduce solutions that cater to the evolving demands of the industry.

Under our brand “HomeSure,” we offer a wide range of innovative building materials and solutions to meet the needs of today’s construction industry. Our product range includes various gypsum plasters designed for different applications, including superior quality gypsum boards.

These gypsum products offer numerous benefits such as fire resistance, durability, lightweight structure, and easy application.

Additionally, we manufacture a range of lime-based ready-mix plasters that provide specific advantages like fire resistance, self-curing ability, and water resistance. Our water-resistant and crack-free spray plasters allow for efficient machine spray application, ensuring project efficiency.

Moreover, we offer coloured wall putty, premium putty (water-resistant), tile adhesives for various applications, epoxy grout in eight colour variants, and Level Well products. These solutions empower contractors and homeowners to complete their projects efficiently and cost-effectively.

Recently, we have introduced HomeSure MasterTouch Distempers and Primers, which are zero solvent, low VOC (Volatile Oil Content) and heavy metal-free products. These offerings serve as excellent alternatives for those seeking safe and sustainable solutions.

Our ultimate goal is to provide high-quality, innovative products and solutions that enhance construction processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity for our customers. We are committed to developing new materials and technologies that meet the evolving requirements of the building and construction industry.
