Kiran Rudrappa: We experienced that there was a myriad of challenges that government, companies, academia, innovators, business leaders, investors, technology, and domain experts faced pertaining to bringing high-tech products into the global markets.

This happens owing to the fact that product creation is a high-risk business. Moreover, it demands high investments, multi-disciplinary talent, infrastructure, and access to the market to attain growth. Any failure in one or multiple aspects is likely to lead to overspending, loss of talent, and, mainly, failure of the whole business.

In our previous business, we also witnessed the same obstacles in the development of a world-class product. This is what inspired us to create a first-of-a-kind ecosystem aimed at fostering high-tech product creation, market access, and manufacturing. Kiran Rudrappa: When we were in our early stages, every potential customer as well as investor considered the building of an open and dynamic ecosystem a far-fetched idea. Their doubts revolved around aspects such as that it doesn’t make business sense, that it has a too-long gestation period and more.

Moreover, this type of ecosystem was a fresh concept, and therefore, the investors considered it an unrealistic idea. However, we had a long-term vision regarding the dynamic ecosystem, and we were sure that it would aid new businesses in creating high-tech products and introducing them to global markets.

We started to engage with a good number of credential customers, stakeholders, innovators, manufacturers, and government officials gaining insights into the challenges they faced. The challenges were multi-dimensional and contracting. Our confidence in the new possibilities and perseverance has led to the creation of the ecosystem.

Kiran Rudrappa: We believe that in the dynamic tech landscape, there are several cutting-edge technologies that are emerging. Based on their current utility and outcomes, it is safe to say that these technologies will disrupt product creation and manufacturing. First and foremost, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

It tends to enhance predictive analytics by optimizing production processes and quality control. The Internet of Things (IoT) is another technology that enables faster data transfer and revolutionizing communication within smart manufacturing factories.

The role of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) will also increase, which will streamline the design process and facilitate immersive prototyping and training solutions. Additive manufacturing will become more economical and will continue to advance, which will enable on-demand production.
