LE DÉFILÉ L’ORÉAL PARIS” Invites All Women To “Walk Their Worth” At The Ecole Militaire

For The Fifth Edition Of Le Défilé, L’Oréal Paris Is Inspiring All Women to Unapologetically Show Up In The World And Walk Towards Their Destiny with Confidence

Paris, France, 15 September 2022 – On October 2 at 8 PM local time, L’Oréal Paris will return to the world’s fashion capital with its fifth edition of “Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris”.

This public outdoor runway show will take place at the École militaire––a national monument in the heart of Paris and a symbol of French excellence.

As an official partner of Paris Fashion Week, the brand’s ambition for this year’s show is to celebrate the beauty, the strength, and the potential of women through the lens of “Walk Your Worth”.

This bold approach reflects L’Oréal Paris’ longstanding commitment to supporting all women around the world.

Walk Your Worth: Empowering Women All Over the World

The message of this year’s show, “Walk Your Worth,” plays on the brand’s world-renowned tagline “Because You’re Worth It”.

These four powerful words, which the brand is taking to the streets for all of society to hear, are designed to inspire all women, along with the brand’s family of fearless spokespeople, to unapologetically show up in the world and walk towards their destiny with confidence.

“As the #1 beauty brand in the world, we are in the business of supporting each woman on her journey to empowerment so she can become whoever she wants to be. Through our fifth edition of ‘Le Defilé L’Oréal Paris’, we remind women that their individuality is their greatest power,” says Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Global Brand President, L’Oréal Paris. “As both a feminine and feminist brand, our belief is that self-worth is a journey, and Beauty is its catalyst.”

This focus on self-worth aligns seamlessly with the brand’s global outreach program, “Stand Up Against Street Harassment”, which was established in 2020 to help women walk safely on every street.

The program, which aims to educate the public on how to intervene against street harassment and build safe, inclusive spaces for all, is currently present in 41 countries worldwide in partnership with non-governmental organization, Right to Be.

To date, 940,000 people have been trained around the world, and L’Oréal Paris has committed to training 1.5 million individuals by the end of 2022.

In conjunction with Le Défilé, L’Oréal Paris is launching “A Lipstick is Not a Yes”, a limited-edition Color Riche lipstick in the shade ‘Le Rouge Liberté’.

100% of the proceeds from each lipstick sold will go to Stand Up charity partners. These funds will enable them to train more people.

Standing Up for Self-Worth at the Ecole Militaire, A Historic Masculine Powerhouse and Today an Evolving Landscape for Women

At a historic site once known as a masculine powerhouse, and today at which female students have a stronger presence, L’Oréal Paris pays tribute to women’s empowerment, supporting each woman on her journey to self-worth so that she can be whoever she wants to be.

This vast complex of historic buildings in the heart of Paris is located alongside the Champ de Mars and nearby Eiffel Tower, offering a ‘made-in-Paris’ global rendezvous to allow women from around the world to experience the empowered values that the brand stands for.

The brand’s partnership with the École militaire is a philanthropic commitment that will support cultural and renovation projects at the historic venue, helping to protect the future of this storied site.
