The 65-year-old businesswoman was ranked 778th among the richest billionaires in the world in 2022 according to Forbes’ list of the richest people in India.
Tewari is India’s third richest lady, just behind politician and woman entrepreneur Savitri Jindal and late ‘Big Bull’ Rakesh Jhunjhunwala‘s wife Rekha Jhunjhunwala.
Forbes pegs her current net worth at $3.7 billion, or more than Rs 30,000 crore, as of February 16, 2023.
Savitri Jindal is the richest Indian woman with a net worth of $17 billion (Rs 1,40,659 crore), and Rekha Jhunjhunwala is second with a fortune of $5.9 billion.

In 2018, the pharmaceutical company paid an unknown price to buy the German generics company Juta Pharma.
Aneesha Gandhi Tewari, who holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from MIT, was named to the board of USV in August 2022.
She is Tewari’s daughter. Vilas, a board member of USV and the founder of a gaming company in Los Angeles, is her son.
