The Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship and CICU launched the Xcelerator Ludhiana program in partnership with the Government’s Department of Industries and Commerce and CICU.
With the aim of enabling small and medium entrepreneurs to improve their productivity, efficiency and profitability and accelerate their business, entrepreneurs from the district have been selected under the Xcelerator program launched by Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal and Chief Secretary Vinnie Mahajan through video conferencing during an event held at the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) complex in the Focal Point area on Tuesday.
The Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), in partnership with the Government’s Department of Industries and Commerce and CICU, launched the Xcelerator Ludhiana.
The six-month business accelerator program to support promising which was selected from more than 450 applications received under the program.
“Ludhiana has been chosen as the 1st place for Xcelerator Ludhiana program, as it is an entrepreneurial energy field that exists and has the potential to create a model that can be replicated in Punjab and the rest of the country.
We hope that the high caliber of entrepreneurs who have chosen to participate in Xcelerator Ludhiana and their success will inspire the emerging entrepreneurial environment, ”said Ravi Venkatesan, Founder of GAME and former Chairman, Microsoft India and Bank of Baroda.
Venkatesen said the Xcelerator program is inspired by ‘Scale Up’, by CEO of Entrepreneurial Policy Advisor and former professor at Harvard Business School, which has been implemented in other developing and developed countries such as Colombia, Brazil and the USA. .
Manpreet Singh Badal also said that Punjab’s entrepreneurial spirit is well-known and over the last few years, we have made steady progress towards a more business-friendly environment in the state.
” Xcelerator program is an important step towards expanding the entrepreneurial momentum and enabling an entrepreneurial ecosystem conducive to the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Punjab,” said Vinnie Mahajan.
