Malaika Arora Biography & life Story
Malaika Arora is an Indian actress, model, dancer, VJ & television personality. She appears in Hindi-language films. In 2002, she starred as a main role in film Kante & in EMI in 2008.
In 2008, she made her film debut as a film producer with her former husband Arbaz Khan. The company was named as Arbaz Khan Productions, it created Dabangg film series.
Malaika Arora is acclaimed for her performance as a dancer I the songs Chaiya Chaiya, Gur Naalo Ishq Mitha, Maahi Ve, Kaal Dhamaal & Munni Badnaam Hui. She is one of the judges in television reality show India’s Got Talent.
Eaely & Personal life:
Malaika was born on 23rd October 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her mother Joyce Polycarp is Malayali & father Anil Arora was a Punjabi.
He was working in Indian Merchant Navy. When she was 11 years old her parents divorced, so she & her sister Amrita moved with her mother.
Malaika Arora is called Malla by her loved ones. She is an amid dancer. She has specialization in dance forms like Ballet, Bharatnatyam & Jezz ballet.
She completed her secondary education from Swami Vivekanand School in Chambur. She completed her college education from Holy Jay Hind College, Churchgate, but he could not complete on account of professional engagement.
In 1998, Malaika Arora was married to Bollywood actor-director producer Arbaz Khan. She met him during a coffee ad shoot.
The couple have a son Arhaan Khan on 9th November 2002. On 28th March 2016, the couple announced their separation & got divorce on 11th May 2017. Since 2016, she is in relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor.
When MTV India started its operations, Malaika was selected as one of the VJs. She started working as an interviewer & hosted shows like Club MTV.
Later on she co-hosted with Cyrus Broacha the shows like Love Line & Style Check. Later she entered the modeling career at the age of 17 & appeared in many advertisements.
Malaika Arora also appeared in many album songs like “Gur Naalo Ishq Mitha” & item numbers like Chaiyya Chaiyya.
Along with item numbers, in 2000s she made cameo appearance in some films. She acted in EMI in 2008, it was a box-office failure.
In film Dabangg, she featured in the item song “Munni Badnaam Hui” in 2010. On 12th March 2011, she helped in setting a world record with 1235 participants for performing a choreographed dance to Munni Badnaam Hui. She led that performance.
In 2012, she was the Taiwan Excellence celebrity endorser. She also supported Dabur’s 30-plus. As of MAlaika, she never wanted to act.
She performed live in a series of concerts at LG Arena in Birmingham & The O2 Arena in London with Atif Aslam, Shaan & Bipasha Basu.
Malaika Arora confirmed that in 2014, she made a cameo appearance in the action comedy-drama film Happy New Year.
On a television show Nach Baliye, Malaika was one of the three Judges on STAR One during mid of 2005. In the last quarter of 2006, again she continued as a judge in Nach Baliye season 2.
Malaika Arora performed many item numbers to set an example for the contestants. Again she appeared on STAR One for the show Zara Nachke Dikha as a judge. Later in 2010, she appeared as a judge on the show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.
Malaika Arora is on the judge’s panel in the show India’s Got Talent on Sony Entertainment Television. In 2019, she was the judge & host of the MTV Supermodel of the Tear. In 2020, she was a judge of India’s Best Dancer.
