Maruti Suzuki Fronx launched at Rs 7.47 lakh in India
April 25, 2023: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country’s largest automaker, has launched its all-new compact SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, in India at a starting price of Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Fronx is available in four variants – Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, and Zxi+ – and comes with a host of features and specifications that are expected to make it a popular choice in the competitive compact SUV segment.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is built on the company’s fifth-generation Heartect platform and features a bold, muscular design with a large front grille, LED projector headlamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The SUV is available in six color options – Red, Blue, White, Grey, Silver, and Black.
The interior of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is spacious and comes with a range of premium features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, automatic climate control, push-button start, and a multi-information display.
The SUV also comes with safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is powered by a 1.2-liter DualJet petrol engine that produces 89 hp and 113 Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, with an optional 5-speed AMT available on the higher variants.
The SUV also comes with the company’s SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology, which enhances fuel efficiency and reduces emissions.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is expected to compete with other popular compact SUVs in India, including the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300.
With its attractive price, advanced features, and reliable performance, the Fronx is likely to give tough competition to its rivals and emerge as a popular choice among Indian buyers.
