NDF – Nargis Dutt Foundation, also known as Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation is a registered, charitable organization working passionately in the areas of Health & Education since 1981. The Cancer Foundation was founded by Sunil Dutt and the Indian Community in 1981 in New York City. The trust is registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950 under registration number E- 9080. It is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
Nargis Dutt Foundation works toward health women’s empowerment, care, disaster relief, education, and sports. It has equipped more than 100 hospitals across rural India with camps, medical equipment and E-learning system worth more than 5 million dollars in rural schools. These include diagnostic equipment and cancer treatment equipment as well as mobile hospital vans equipped with a mobile X-ray machine. The Nargis Dutt ICU was inaugurated by the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
The Nargis Dutt Foundation Medical Van was the first to reach Bhuj after the devastation caused by the earthquake. The Cancer Foundation also had its presence wherever there was a national calamity in India, be it floods in Bihar and Mumbai or the earthquakes in Bhuj and Latur.

Since 2004, Nargis Dutt Foundation has been working with cancer patients, conducting regular medical camps in the slums of Mumbai and focusing on children and women both in education and health.
