Nargis Dutt Foundation, NDF initiates ‘Cancer is Curable’ campaign on World Cancer Day

Nargis Dutt Foundation, on this World Cancer Day, hosted an event at the Carter Road, Amphitheatre, Bandra West, launching a campaign in order to spread awareness and minimise the fear of ‘Cancer’.

The event marked the presence of globally renowned oncologists Jyoti Bajpai, Shripad Banavali and Shylasree TS from Tata Memorial Hospital for spreading awareness and exchange of knowledge on early diagnosis and timely treatment.    

The event witnessed some well-known personalities like Ayan Hashmi and Bollywood celebrity Sonali Bendre coming together, to share their journey about overcoming the fear and battle against cancer.

Victory Arts Foundation, Shaimak Davar’s dance troupe along with Gracenotes’ and Som Prem’s musical performance created a dazzling experience for the guests.

Nargis Dutt Foundation works in the areas of Education and Health. From organizing free screening camps in rural areas of our country to spreading awareness and exchanging knowledge among the people about various health diseases, Nargis Dutt Foundation financially and holistically supports needy cancer patients with their treatment majorly in Tata Memorial Hospital and it has also equipped rural hospitals with medical diagnostic equipment.

Priya Dutt stated, “We are tirelessly working to offer the best cancer care and diagnostic facilities to the less fortunate people. Our mission is to enrich their lives by imparting hope and courage to them and their families. I urge cancer patients and their families to stand strong.”

Additionally, Nargis Dutt Foundation has partnered with Apollo Hospital, NM Medical, Tata Memorial, and Asian Cancer Institute to provide cancer screening packages where the patients can register themselves to get the service benefits. Except for this, attractive insurance packages specifically for cancer patients are also available through HDFC Agro and LIC.
