Can you tell us a little about your background and how you got started in the world of PR and marketing?
Neha Bahri: The PR and marketing turf is constantly evolving. It was a fascinating field, and as a person who likes to challenge myself, I thought this would be an interesting world to explore.
I have been in this field for over 15 years, and it still continues to amaze me, teach me and test me. The only thing that one needs to remember is that it is both a science and an art of telling story.
One will have to continue to evolve, test and thread ahead. Each brand comes with its own set of challenges, and there is a new puzzle to put together every day.
What inspired you to start Bconnect Communications, and what do you hope to achieve through the company?
Neha Bahri: The current pandemic came out of nowhere and made us all rethink our priorities and see the world in a whole new light.
When things came to a standstill, it gave me a lot of time to ponder on what my strengths were and how I wanted the next few years of my life to be.
While entrepreneurship was always on my mind, I was wary of taking the plunge. However, the pandemic made me realise that it was now or never, and I decided to give shape to my dreams.
Kindly brief us about Bconnect, its specialisation, and the services that it offers
Neha Bahri: We have been helping brands share interesting stories that resonates with the target audiences and amplify that in the appropriate channels for maximum results.
We manage end to end media relations to create a favourable imagery for our clients. In case there is an unfavourable occurrence, we help them with crisis management and ensure minimum damages to the overall brand.
Right from ideation to strategy setting and content creation, we work as extended arms and legs for our clients and work in tandem with their marketing team to execute their campaigns and ensure high-level placements in print, radio, online and TV. In this new age era, we does a lot of influencer marketing for the brands.
What is your biggest USP
Neha Bahri: I bring with me a rich experience and a decade of insights. Our storytelling, strategy and narrative setting is what sets us apart from the others.
We have a proactive approach and action driven and ensure that we are able to get all your clients 100% attention and maximum exposure.
How do you stay on top of the latest trends and best practices in PR, marketing, and social media?
Neha Bahri: There are no shortcuts to success. The best way to stay on top of the trends is to read a lot. Along with the same, you need to be aware of what is happening around you. One should keep all their senses open and be ready to absorb everything that is happening around you.
What sets Bconnect Communications apart from other PR and marketing firms, and how do you ensure your clients get the best possible results?
Neha Bahri: Bconnect Communications is new-age agency who creates a real-time measurable impact on client businesses within a short span of 3 years through breakthrough ideas and diligent efforts.
With a track record of immensely successful public relations campaigns for clients across sectors, Bconnect communications is poised to deliver best-in-class services to heighten your business’s success and growth.
We provide all our clients with our undivided attention and tailor-make our stratergy according to the challenges that they are facing.
We realise that in PR, there is not one solution that fits all. One has to understand the brand journey of each brand, what the clients want to achieve, and their current perception in the market and, based on that, formulate a strategy that will work.
Thinking out of the box is what most agencies stress a lot, but often times the solutions are more straightforward than that.
Moreover, one should be ready to try new things and tweak your strategy as one go alone. What is giving results to you today may not work in the next couple of months.
Another skill that is important in our line of work is networking. In this age of social media, people are not giving as much value to personal relationships, but it is extremely important to be well-connected.
In your opinion, what are the most important qualities for success as an entrepreneur in the PR and marketing industry?
Neha Bahri: While the landscape has changed significantly over the past decades, PR hasn’t gone away – rather it’s transformed. Being a successful entrepreneur one needs an array of skills.I believe it’s about more than just passion or drive.
Being a successful entrepreneur one needs an array of skills.I believe it’s about more than just passion or drive.
An entrepreneur should have a mindset to tackle multiple situations. One must be as proactive and should know how to juggle multiple hats at the same time with proficiency and zero errors.
While one needs to have specialised skill sets, it also implies that you need to upgrade your skills from time to time to stay at pace with the changing standards.
Another key skill is consistency. There will be new challenges and hurdles every day, and you have to remodel your way through the same.
It is important to stay focused and continue to deliver consistently on all counts. At the same time, it is also important to be self motivated.
How do you balance the needs of your clients with the needs of your business, and what strategies do you use to ensure both are thriving?
Neha Bahri: In our line of business we thrive as our clients thrive. Both things work hand in hand. When we are able to deliver well for our clients, it results in great publicity for us and we are able to get more clients and expand.
What was the inspiration behind turning into an entrepreneur
Neha Bahri: Everyone once in their lifetime has that moment, where one has an experience of getting fed up, getting fired, or getting lucky to get an opportunity to become an entrepreneur.
I want to be fully self expressed, the essence of freedom which made me march toward becoming an entrepreneur. I wanted to be my boss & that was my biggest inspiration to be an entrepreneur.
What advice do you have for other women who are looking to start their own businesses in this field?
Neha Bahri: I want women to remember that they are the strongest creatures in the world. Most women undermine their abilities and keep others before themselves.
I want to remind them that they are “powerful” and we can achieve everything that we set our sight on. Irrespective of the field we are in, whether it is in entrepreneurship or being a homemaker, or a movie star, or in the field of sports, women are carving their own identity and excelling in every field.
What are your goals for the future of Bconnect Communications, and how do you plan to achieve them?
Neha Bahri: We have been making aggressive efforts in integrated communication and branding by achieving great results.
We are looking at expanding our scope in this field. Bconnect Communication has been growing steadily in the past four years and we would like to diversify and expand our area of expertise across sectors and technology.
Along the way, we are looking to pick deeper consumer insight and help our clients benefit from deep understanding of the key markets.
Over the course of the next few months, we would also be focusing on expanding withing the country and internationally.
What are your success tips for women entrepreneurs
Neha Bahri: The first thing is don’t be afraid to take the plunge. Most entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs, keep putting it off.
They always want to prioritise other things over their career. It is only us that can make our dreams happen, so if this is what you want to do, then you will only have to act on it.
The other important aspect is the network. To grow in any business, it is important to stay connected and network.
With social media and other networking apps, it is easier than ever to do so. So make use of all the tools that are available. Finally, they need to understand that they can’t please it all.
