Entrepreneur Neha Gupta goes ahead with original plans for Beyond Designs Bistro

Early this year, Beyond Designs, renowned for their bespoke furniture and accessories, and elaborately designed luxury interiors, launched a new vertical – Beyond Design Bistro.

This unique shopping-cum-fine-dining option offering mainly European cuisine and some select Asian dishes, was the brainwave of an Indian Women Entrepreneur, Neha Gupta, Beyond Designs Home & Bistro – Founder, who, having enjoyed the phenomena abroad had been wanting to recreate for clients in Delhi too.

But within two months, in March, lock down struck. This was an unexpected setback initially, but Neha had felt the pulse of her customers and she knew how to reach them.

She acted like a determined entrepreneur who was not deterred by the circumstances, and navigated them to find solutions, with creative ideas and grit. 

So as the lock down slowly eased, she launched home dining options by offering specially created DIY and ready-to-eat, pre-packed meal kits that allowed customers to “dine-out” in the comfort their homes in style. The artistic and eco-friendly packaging elevated the whole experience. 

“It was important that we stay afloat. We didn’t want to fire any of our staff during these difficult times,” she says.  In fact, as the delivery model took off, she was even ready to hire staff.

“I happened to come across a chef specializing in Keto, and we decided to bring him on board to launch a Keto menu.

We consulted a nutritionist and a dietician and drew up a Keto menu. Today, the bistro delivers Keto food on subscription basis, with interesting dishes like Keto omlette, Cauli biryani, etc.

Every day the customers get 2-3 options from the menu, which they choose in consultation with their dieticians.

The bistro also has a limited Keto à la carte menu for in-house dining. Regular dining, take away and delivery is also going on.

Now, Neha is also going ahead with her original plan of expansion with the bistro. “We will be launching a bakery soon, followed by a pizzeria, so that anyone who walks in for coffee can pick up from the display stall any item they want.

They could also take away stuff and with a 24-hour notice, we could also cater to large orders.” 

The bakery will showcase all artisanal breads, cookies, tarts, etc, and for the festive season, they also plan to offer gift hampers with the typical Beyond Designs signature touch. 

“After the Nav Ratras, we will also start Sunday brunch which will be served at the table,” she says.

The Beyond Designs Bistro has received much love from its customers who feel comfortable dining here because of its open, airy feeling with lots of natural light.  

“The location, and also the way it stands alone at a height makes them feel more comfortable.

And of course, we maintain the utmost hygiene and safety protocol as demanded by the current situation,” says Neha. We say, more power to this entrepreneur!

And she now has a new role carved for herself. Just like Beyond Designs studio, the bistro is built on the same philosophy of experimental and fusion-based design and cuisine. 

The French-inspired interiors of the bistro showcase a passionately created design environment, while the specially crafted Modern European cuisine and the Asian fare offered are equally stylish in the way they are prepared and presented.

The bistro offers a one-of-its-kind opportunity of browsing through exquisite handcrafted home accessories, some created in-house, some sourced from across the globe, and at the same time, tantalizing your taste buds with exquisite dishes prepared from the freshest produce. Healthy, home-grown, experimentative, holistic are the buzzwords. 

Neha Gupta has completed her diploma in interior design and also has a degree of architecture from the Institution of Civil Engineers.

As the Co-Founder of Beyond Designs, her unique style and passion for design have inspired her to extend her knowledge beyond interiors into the world of food. 

“I wanted to create a space that remains in the people’s heart for both its creative atmosphere and the best fine dining experience the city has to offer. That is becoming a reality with the launch of the bistro,” Neha says.

In a field rife with change and annihilation, Neha has emerged as a designer and a business woman who can deliver the flavor of today, literally.

The bistro remains open from 10 am for breakfast till 7 pm in the evening, and serves a collection of delish breakfasts, lavish lunches and a luxe high tea menu and beverages. 

The menu is woven around healthy, mindful and experimentative food. Americano with an orange twist, a green coffee, organic Black Currant Flaxseed Oats smoothie… are a few beverages to name.

The Healthy & Mindful All-Day Breakfast offerings include Sumac-flavored Foxtail millet breakfast, Pilaf with beetroot hash, winter berries and Ricotta on Sourdough Bread, and Asparagus, spinach and artichoke quiche. 

Pink Peppercorn Curried Roasted pumpkin soup, Multi-grain Orzo Salad to a Kaffir Lime Coconut Soup for Vegans and a Bistro special noodles basket with chicken and lamb, truly belong in the Conversational Starters league.
