As the Director & Category Head of Aristobrat, could you share the vision and mission behind the brand’s inception?

Neha Salam: In my role as Director & Category Head of Aristobrat, I’m driven by our mission to cultivate a community of fashion intelligent men through providing them with thoughtful and  versatile clothing. Since our launch in 2019, we’ve worked to transform wardrobe choices, keeping a classic look without compromising quality while streamlining the choosing process for men.

Our guiding principles of “Zero Compromise Quality” and “Thoughtful Essentials” ensure that every piece smoothly combines design and function, ensuring great craftsmanship. We improve comfort and adaptability by using carefully chsing colour schemes and high-quality textiles, to satisfy our clients’ needs.

In essence, we are on a mission to redifine menswear with careful thought, outstanding craftsmanship, and an aim to foster a community of fashion intelligent men who effortlessly navigate their clothing choices.

What inspired the creation of Aristobrat as a men’s fashion brand, and what sets it apart from others in the industry?

Neha Salam: The inspiration behind ‘Aristobrat’ comes from James Bond played by Daniel Craig and Tony Stark portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. Craig is a symbol of machismo and aristocracy, while Downey Jr. is rebellion and bravado. When combined, they represent our ideal man—a modern-day influencer molding the next generation.

Furthermore, what distinguishes Aristobrat is our special fusion of class, rebellion, and minimalism. We defy conventions while keeping our designs elegant and sophisticated. We provide more than simply clothes; we offer a way of life that embraces uniqueness and grace, with an emphasis on fine craftsmanship and classic style.

How do you approach curating the collections and defining the aesthetic of Aristobrat to resonate with your target audience?

Neha Salam: At core, we master the art of elevating everyday necessities above and beyond the norm. Our strategy aims to change the norm by improving both style and functionality by focusing functionality as well as style.

Here, the focus is on improving both style and functionality, transforming everyday clothing into adaptable pieces that perfectly combine form and function. For instance, you can take our trousers, which embody the polished look of formal attire while offering the comfort and flexibility of joggers.

Further, we prioritize timeless sophistication and versatility when curating collections and defining our aesthetic, keeping our target audience in mind. We place more emphasis on making timeless, versatile pieces that enable our customers to express their individual style than we do on adhering to fads.

Our strategy centers on providing perfectly tailored staples, like our renowned TjamasTM️ and sport-luxury polos, which appeal to people who value quality and meaning in their wardrobe selections.

In order to ensure that our collections continue to appeal to our target audience for years to come, by placing a strong emphasis on timeless style and thoughtful design.

In a constantly evolving fashion landscape, how does Aristobrat stay innovative while remaining true to its core identity?

Neha Salam: Aristobrat offers capsule collections and takes a slow fashion stance in order to remain innovative while maintaining a strong sense of brand identity. We introduce timeless statement pieces, not ones that compete with trends. This enables us to stay true to our individual identities while making adjustments for the changing fashion scene, guaranteeing that every collection is timeless and relevant.

Can you discuss the key values and principles that guide Aristobrat’s design philosophy and business operations?

Neha Salam: Several fundamental beliefs and principles form the basis of Aristobrat’s design philosophy and business practices.

  1. Timeless Elegance: We are committed to producing designs that are sophisticated and refined beyond fads.
  2. Quality Craftsmanship: We place a high value on excellent craftsmanship in each item of clothing we make, guaranteeing its outstanding quality and longevity.

Neha Salam: Up until now, Aristobrat has not sought out any partnerships or collaborations. That being said, we are actively looking for future opportunities to work with brands in order to improve our brand recognition and establish valuable alliances.

Potential partnerships that support our mission and core values and enhance our brand and customer experiences are something we are eager to investigate.

As a leader in the men’s fashion space, what challenges have you encountered, and how have you addressed them to drive Aristobrat’s growth?

Neha Salam: Although we can at first glance seem like just another fashion company, our distinctive strategy consists of establishing a clear niche within each product category. This is made possible by creative fabric selections and the incorporation of useful elements that greatly improve everyday utility.

In addition, one of the biggest challenges in the fashion sector is negotiating the absence of intellectual property protection. But by quickly becoming a well-known brand in our sector, we establish ourselves as leaders and innovators, reducing the possibility of imitation and enhancing our position as front-runners.

What exciting developments or expansions can we expect from Aristobrat in the near future?

Neha Salam: We’re excited to announce some upcoming developments that will enhance your experience with Aristobrat:

  • Mid-2024: We’re launching a Homewear line for cosy and stylish lounging at home, along with a premium Denim collection featuring a variety of fits and washes.
  • End of 2024: Our trendy Overshirt collection will be introduced which would be perfect for layering and adding casual sophistication to any outfit.
  • 2025–2026: We’re entering the Middle Eastern market through a strategic partnership, offering shipping to Canada and the Middle East to make international shopping easier for our customers.
  • Tier 2 City Focus: Expanding into Tier 2 cities across India to better serve growing disposable incomes.
  • Franchise Partnerships: Exploring strategic franchise partnerships to expand our offline presence nationwide.
