Simran Tanwar, a girl from Haryana state, lifted 82.5 kg and won the Natural Strong Powerlifting Federation championship.
Noida, January 27, 2025— Simran Tanwar, an LLB student of the School of Law & Legal Affairs at Noida International University, has secured the 1st position in the prestigious India Cup Benchpress & Deadlift Powerlifting Championship (RAW).
Competing in the 56 kg senior category, Simran impressed everyone by lifting 82.5 kg and securing her place at the top.
She has proudly represented her state, Haryana, at the prestigious championship organized by the Natural Strong Powerlifting Federation (NSPF), affiliated with the Global Powerlifting Committee.
On this remarkable accomplishment, Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor of Noida International University, said, “We heartily congratulate Simran for her victory, and we are proud that she is one of our best students.
It is an honor for her state and university, as she has secured the first position at the Bench Press & Deadlift Powerlifting Championship event. We want more Simrans to come up front and participate in such large events. NIU organizes sports events internally at a large scale where students can showcase their talent and bring the best out of them.
Our NCC unit & Department of Sports are shining bright as we have students with sportsmanship who are always prepared for such events.
