An Exclusive Interview with Hiral.H.Jain, founder and Karishma.H.Jain, Co-founder of Offbeat Media (OBM)
In this exclusive conversation, we speak with Hiral H. Jain, Founder, and Karishma H. Jain, Co-founder of Offbeat Media (OBM), to explore their creative journey and vision.
What inspired each of you individually to step into the media and marketing world?
Karishma H Jain: “I was already working in the media space, with over 9 years of experience in PR, while Hiral came from a strong background in social, digital, and tech.
We realized that by combining our expertise, we could create something more holistic and impactful for brands. That thought became the foundation of Offbeat Media — a space where media, PR, and digital come together seamlessly.”
“Offbeat” is an intriguing name. What’s the philosophy behind it, and how does it reflect your brand’s identity?
Karishma H Jain: “For us, Offbeat stands for being unique and creating a distinct path. Our skills, like the name, are unconventional — we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
With expertise across PR, social, and digital, we offer brands ‘offbeat’ ways to grow, ensuring that every strategy is as individual as the brand itself.”
How do you ensure consistency of brand voice and innovation across multiple campaigns and platforms?
Hiral H Jain “Consistency is key for us because campaigns and projects take time and need to leave a lasting impact. We ensure this by combining fresh, innovative ideas with steady, consistent execution across every platform.
Our team stays closely aligned with brand guidelines while also being in constant touch with influencers and collaborators, so that every campaign feels both on-brand and relevant.”
How do you see the Indian media and marketing industry evolving in today’s digital-first world?
Karishma H Jain: The Indian media and marketing industry is evolving at a lightning pace — it changes every single day. In today’s digital-first era, if you don’t keep up, you’re simply not in the game.
Founders and brand owners now need to have strong personal profiles, because visibility and credibility are directly tied to growth.
Traditional methods alone don’t work anymore — it’s all about digital presence, social engagement, and building authentic connections online.
How are new-age platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and even AI-driven content creation changing the way agencies work?
Hiral H Jain New-age platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and AI-driven content are no longer optional — they’re what drive the business today.
If you’re not active on them, it’s difficult to sustain. Instagram, for example, has not just built visibility for brands but has also become a major driver of sales. These platforms have completely reshaped how agencies work, and in this era, it’s essential to adapt, learn, and leverage them to stay relevant
Running a creative agency often means balancing multiple stakeholders—clients, internal teams, and market demands. How do you manage that balance?
Hiral H Jain For us, it’s less about ‘managing’ and more about prioritizing. We focus our energy on what truly matters, and for everything else, we rely on our amazing team, who take ownership and execute seamlessly.
Whether it’s clients, internal goals, or ever-changing market trends, having the right priorities and the right people in place makes balancing it all possible.
What strategies have helped you scale while retaining the “personalized touch” clients often look for in creative partnerships?
Hiral H Jain “For us, scaling has always gone hand in hand with building genuine relationships. We don’t just work to complete deliverables — we guide brands with sensible, useful ideas that help them grow. That’s what keeps the ‘personalized touch’ alive.
Clients know we’re invested in their journey, not just their projects, and that trust is what has allowed us to scale while still feeling boutique in our approach.”
What is your long-term vision for Offbeat Media? Do you see it expanding to global markets or venturing into new verticals?
Karishma H Jain: Clients know we’re invested in their journey, not just their projects, and that trust is what has allowed us to scale while still feeling boutique in our approach.”
As Hiral and Karishma reflect on their path, it’s clear Offbeat Media thrives on innovation, collaboration, and purpose—setting benchmarks in storytelling while inspiring the next generation of media leaders.
