At Vaidam Health, we were inspired by a simple yet powerful observation: patients seeking treatment outside their home country often struggle with unreliable information, unclear costs, and a lack of trustworthy guidance.
We realised that while India offered world-class treatment at affordable prices, international patients had no dependable platform to help them navigate hospitals, doctors, travel, and recovery with confidence.
This gap sparked the idea for Vaidam, a platform built on credibility, transparency, and personalised support.
The goal was to make medical travel as seamless, safe, and humane as possible. By combining verified medical information with patient assistants, treatment planning, travel logistics, and post-treatment care, we brought structure to a largely unorganised sector.
How does Vaidam use technology to simplify the process for international patients seeking medical treatment in India?
Pankaj Chandna: At Vaidam, we apply technology to the whole process of a patient’s journey, making medical travel easy, transparent, and stress-free for overseas patients.
Our platform is a multilingual, data-driven ecosystem that allows patients to locate the best hospitals, evaluate treatment options and comprehend procedures with transparency.

How do you select and partner with hospitals and doctors across India?
Pankaj Chandna: We have established partnerships with leading hospitals across India, Thailand, Turkey, Germany, UAE, and Egypt. Our patients have come from 120+ countries, reflecting the global reach of our services.
We vet hospitals and associated doctors based on multiple criteria including specialty, accreditations, facilities, clinical output, reputation, price, distance, locality, and so on. To ensure smooth patient support, we have formal MoUs with the hospitals on services we can offer to the patients on their behalf.
Often similar procedures are offered by hospitals or doctors at lower prices or by a better doctor at the same price.
All of this intelligence is systematically integrated into our platform, enabling our case managers to make informed recommendations when guiding patients toward the most suitable hospital and doctor for their needs.
How do you manage logistical challenges like visas, accommodation, and post-treatment follow-ups?
Pankaj Chandna: At Vaidam, we have a dedicated international patient care team that is always there to support patients in their medical journey.
Healthcare coordinators offer support in acquiring a medical visa invitation letter and lead the patients throughout the entire e-visa process.
Keeping the experience hassle-free from the airport, the coordinators also organize airport pickup and local transportation for the patients travelling between the airport, hospital, and accommodation.
For stays, we recommend neat, safe, and affordable guesthouses or hotels that are generally located a short drive or walking distance from the hospital.
After treatment, when patients are back in their home countries, we still continue to care through email, phone, or video consultations with the doctors who provided the treatment.
We are also involved in ongoing monitoring through the sharing of medical reports with the concerned doctors or by facilitating the delivery of medicines from a distant location in some cases. This end-to-end support ensures a stress-free and well-coordinated medical travel experience.

Pankaj Chandna: In the last six years, we have conducted more than 300 medical camps across 25 countries, showing our commitment and scale at which we operate is unique to us.
Currently, we have our offices and dedicated country representatives in 15 countries, facilitating patient travel and quality care. Also, we have started facilitating medical procedures from leading doctors in the patient’s own country.
This is a vertical we are particularly enthusiastic about. We manage the entire process, including selecting medical centers, handling local registrations, managing OPDs, coordinating logistics, and providing post-operative care.
In a nutshell, we are trying to address the global patients’ needs and solving challenges one at a time. This is a big opportunity that keeps our team engaged, motivated, and excited about the growth and impact we can create.
