May 8, 2023: In a heartfelt move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia for the families of those who lost their lives in the recent boat tragedy in Malappuram, Kerala.
The tragedy, which occurred on May 6th, claimed the lives of 15 people who were on board a boat that capsized in the Valapattanam River. The incident has left the entire nation in shock and grief.
