150 surgical instruments and 900 medicines available at affordable rates under the Pradhanmantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana.

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India spoke on Saturday through video conferencing on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Day to the beneficiaries. The communication was held on the last day of Jan Aushadhi Week held between March 1 to 7. Medical expenses of the poor and the middle class have been reduced considerably, due to the decisions taken by his govt, he added.

During this time, Narendra Modi said that every month more than one crore families are taking very cheap medicines through these Jan Aushadhi Kendras. He also said that due to the Jan Aushadhi project, now the expenditure on treatment is being reduced considerably. As this network is growing, so too its benefits are reaching more and more people.

He said that today the price of more than 1,000 essential medicines is controlled and saving Rs12,500 cr for patients. Prime Minister Modi also informed about the benefits of the PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana reaching people by capping the prices of medicines in Jan Aushadhi Centers.

At the same time, about 90 lakh poor people have got benefits under Ayushman Yojana. PM Modi said I am very satisfied that till now more than six thousand Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened in the whole country under the Indian Jan Aushadhi Project started by the Central Government.

He also said that the PM-BJP – Prime Minister’s Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project has a resolve to provide the best and cheap treatment to every person in the country. About 900 medicines and 154 surgical instruments are available at a much cheaper rate than the market rate. It is claimed that the public is saving 50 to 90 percent through these Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
