An Exclusive Interview with Prateek Ojha, Founder & CEO of Delberto, a cutting-edge SaaS-based technology platform transforming the world of entrepreneurship

In this exclusive conversation, Prateek Ojha, Founder & CEO of Delberto, shares his journey of creating a cutting-edge SaaS platform reshaping entrepreneurship by empowering startups and businesses with smart, scalable solutions.

What inspired you to start Delberto, and what problem were you aiming to solve in the eCommerce space?

Prateek Ojha : The inspiration for Delberto came from seeing how difficult it was for small businesses, artisans, students, housewives, and even retired professionals to enter the eCommerce ecosystem.

The barriers were simply too high—lack of upfront capital, fragmented supply chains, absence of digital skills, and logistical complexities.

I realized that if we could build a system where individuals and local businesses could sell online without worrying about inventory, infrastructure, or upfront investment, it could change the way entrepreneurship is perceived in India. Delberto was born with the mission to make eCommerce accessible, affordable, and empowering for everyone.

For those who are unfamiliar, can you explain what Delberto is and how it differentiates itself from other SaaS-based eCommerce platforms?

Prateek Ojha : Delberto is India’s first social-commerce SaaS platform built with a strong focus on inclusivity. Unlike traditional SaaS eCommerce players that primarily cater to established businesses, Delberto has designed multiple subscription-based models that cater to different levels of entrepreneurship:

  • Webify for DIY website creation.
  • Tailorfy for curated product banks with dropshipping integration.
  • Bespokify for Amazon account management.
  • Supplier Connect for artisans and manufacturers to reach new markets.
  • CSV Plan for bulk resellers.

What makes us different is that we eliminate the biggest barrier—inventory risk. Entrepreneurs can start selling instantly without investing in stock, logistics, or packaging, while still building their own brand.

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced while developing the platform, especially in making it universally usable and accessible?

Prateek Ojha : The biggest challenge was balancing simplicity with scalability. We needed to design a platform that a housewife in a small town could use without technical expertise, but also robust enough to handle thousands of resellers and suppliers.

Another major challenge was building trust in communities that had little exposure to eCommerce. This required training, hand-holding, and ensuring that our technology translated into real, tangible income for our users.

Finally, integrating logistics, payments, and catalog management into a single seamless flow was a significant technological hurdle that we are proud to have overcome.

How do you see Delberto impacting the future of small-scale entrepreneurship in India and beyond?

Prateek Ojha : Delberto’s vision is to turn every smartphone into a storefront. By empowering people with zero upfront investment models, we are enabling millions to become entrepreneurs who would otherwise never dream of starting a business.

This is particularly powerful for women, rural communities, and students. Beyond India, we see Delberto as a blueprint for emerging markets across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, where similar challenges exist.

The long-term impact will be the creation of millions of micro-entrepreneurs who contribute to local economies while reaching global customers.

What are the unique technological features of Delberto that make it stand out in a competitive SaaS market?

  • Plug-and-play subscriptions designed for different user types.
  • Integrated dropshipping model that removes inventory risk.
  • Automated SKU onboarding and order management system (OMS) for thousands of products.
  • Reseller and affiliate site creation in minutes with full catalog integration.
  • Inclusive design that supports multilingual access and is mobile-first.
  • Built-in storytelling features that highlight artisans and local culture alongside products, creating emotional connect with buyers.

Do you have plans to expand internationally or create specialized verticals for certain industries?

Prateek Ojha : Yes, international expansion is very much on our roadmap. We are already partnering with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to create Craftgroom.com, a dedicated vertical for art and craft, which is being scaled as a model for cultural commerce.

Similarly, we are exploring verticals in fashion, wellness, and lifestyle products. On the international front, our next step will be to launch in markets where artisans and small businesses face the same hurdles—beginning with Canada, where we already have a presence, and gradually expanding into other developing economies.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs who want to build SaaS solutions for underserved markets?

Prateek Ojha : My advice would be: solve a real problem, don’t just build another tool. Underserved markets require empathy as much as they require technology. Spend time with your users, understand their struggles, and design for simplicity over sophistication.

Also, remember that trust is everything—especially in markets where people are new to digital solutions. If you can combine technology, accessibility, and trust, your SaaS solution will not only succeed but also transform lives.

Prateek’s vision for Delberto highlights the future of entrepreneurship—tech-driven, accessible, and transformative. His insights inspire innovators to embrace change, proving technology can be the greatest enabler of sustainable business growth.
