It is a well-known breakfast of many Hindi films. Yes, it is mooli paratha. Today we are going to make stuffed mooli paratha. Mooli – radish aids digestion.

As it is full of dietary fibers, which helps with digestion issues. Even it fights cough and cold. It boosts immunity also.

Radish-mooli regulates blood pressure also. So from all of this one thing is final that we have to eat radish every day.

So this recipe will help to make a healthy breakfast or even healthy brunch also. Actually there are two types of mooli paratha, one is normal and another is stuffed. Here we have the recipe of stuffed mooli paratha. Enjoy cooking.

Ingredients to make Stuffed Mooli Paratha:

For the outer layer:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon soaked sooji-semolina
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon ghee-clarified butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon carrom seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon kasuri methi-dry fenugreek leaves

Oil for shallow frying

For stuffing:

  • 1 cup grated mooli
  • 1/2 cup grated onion
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chili
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves

Method to make Stuffed Mooli Paratha:

For the outer layer:

  • Mix all the ingredients of the outer layer and make semi-soft dough from it.
    Take a few drops of oil in palm and knead properly. Keep aside covered.

For stuffing:

  • In a wide bowl take grated mooli and grated onion. Add salt and mix properly.
  • Take the whole mixture in thin muslin cloth and press. Try to remove extra oil from the mixture.
  • Now add all spices and coriander to it. Mix well. Our stuffing is ready.

How to assemble Stuffed Mooli Paratha:

  • Make equal size balls from the dough and the same from stuffing.
  • Take a dough ball and roll it up to 4″ dia. place stuffing over it and cover properly. Remove extra dough.
  • Again roll carefully.
  • Shallow fry paratha both the side until light brown in color.
  • Repeat the same for remaining.
  • Cut and serve hot Stuffed Mooli Paratha with curd.
