By: Syed Masood, Managing Director of Heritage Institute of Management and Communication: There is no deny in saying that the country’s young generation needs to have skilled training to grab the opportunities.
With more than 250 million of young scholars of leading educational institutes, of the country are having the power to develop the workforce with all the required skills to drive growth in the nation’s economy.
Besides, the gap between industry demands and educational act indicates the need of a quick systemic change. Nation must accept a full, industry-aligned style to education if it is to turn teaching space into entry points for successful careers.
As we all know that every year many students get graduation or post graduation degree and a very large percentage of these degree holders are either not working anywhere or they are not getting enough work.
This is the biggest problem in our country. According to the recently released India Skills 2023, only half of these youth are working anywhere.
Many of the institutes are still using the limited syllabus that don’t take into account the most recent developments in technology . Also, when education institutions/colleges and industries don’t work together, graduates wont be getting chance to get the practical traning.
As to match education with job opportunities, our Indian educational system need to be completely changed.
Programs for skill development must be started in schools only. Proper traning on latest technologies comprising AI, coding, data analytics and allied important topics must all be included in intial stage of school as well in higher stages.
There is a way todecrease the skill gap which is boosting up the associations between colleges or education institute andsorporate. Several programmes like trainings, seminars, mentorships and internships to be increased as to give more practical knowledge with contemporary issues to the young generation.
Also, Education centres to play a vital role in shaping the personnel. Convenience to outstanding educational openings can be made available to all using digital tools and platforms.
Increas in Online Courses, AI-driven custom-made education, along with cybernetic labs can benefit in ensuring the effectiveness and convenience of further education.
Young scholars can be ready for discoveries and self-employment by certainty imparted with an occupational viewpoint. Approaching business owners can be nurtured by mentorship plans, startup hatcheries and and business imitation labs.
We must take motivations and lessons from countries like Finland and Germany, offering the understandings into emerging strong systems of education.
Germany’s dual-education planned planning confirms that students gain academic and practical skills by combining academics and vocational education. Finland’s focus on teacher autonomy and tailored instruction promotes innovative thinking and critical thinking.
Our country can develop into a center for talent and invention and release the possible of its young people by altering its educational system to meet the requirements of the global economy. For this change to take place, educators, corporates, and young generation must work jointly.
Nation can fill up the skills gap and cover the way for a wealthy future by building an ecosystem that values creativity, talents, and flexibility. A accomplished personnel, lower joblessness, and a vibrant economy prepared to face the problems of the twenty-first century are the vast rewards of the difficult journey.
