The new plant, located in Chakan, marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion and commitment to supporting the railway sector with advanced, reliable, and sustainable solutions.
The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Krishna Kejriwal, CMD, in the presence of company executives & industry partners.
Spanning area in 30,000 sq. ft., the facility is equipped with the latest in precision engineering technologies, assembly systems, and quality control processes tailored to meet the rigorous demands of modern locomotive applications.
“This new facility strengthens our position as a trusted partner to the rail industry. We are committed to excellence in innovation, safety, and sustainability, and this plant will enable us to meet the growing demand for high-quality locomotive components both domestically and internationally,” said Mr. Kejriwal.
Key highlights of the facility include Advanced CNC machining, Sheeting Metal Fabrication with Welding Capabilities, In-house testing and validation lab for railway standards compliance, and Skilled workforce training centre.
The products manufactured at the new facility will serve both freight and passenger rail segments, enhancing the performance and reliability of locomotive systems worldwide.
