Boris Johnson, British Prime Minister on Thursday announced that after Sajid Javid sensationally resigned, Rishi Sunak, an Indian-origin politician to be his new finance minister.
Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy’s son-in-law Rishi Sunak of Indian origin has been appointed as the new Finance Minister by the UK. Rishi Sunak is a member of the Conservative Party and elected from the constituency of Richmond in North Yorkshire. British lawmaker Rishi Sunak Narayan is the son-in-law of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy. He appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer to arrive at 10 Downing Street.
Rishi Sunak previously served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury and has a business background. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond (Yorks) since 2015 and previously served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury.

Rishi Sunak was born in Southampton, Hampshire on 12 May 1980. His mother Usha was a pharmacist who ran a local pharmacy and his father Yashvir was a general practitioner (GP). Rishi Sunak also has an MBA from Stanford University in the United States.
